Transformer Repair, Recondition and Rewind 10 Transformers/yr. The number of transformers in each specific size category of repair, recondition or rewind cannot be estimated. However, approximately ten (10) transformers per year will be repaired to some degree. Approximately seven (7) of these will be pole-mount, conventional transformers and three (3) will be pad-mount, single-phase. Most will be 25 KVA, 37.5 KVA or 100 KVA. Mineral oil Pole mount transformers to be scrapped Pad mount transformers to be scrapped 300 gallons mineral oil/yr. With copper windings, 7000 KVA/yr. With aluminum windings, 1000 KVA/yr.
