International Visitors to Southern Africa must present their foreign passport and return airline ticket to qualify for rates with unlimited mileage. An authorisation amount will be held on the renter's credit card for the duration of the rental. Authorisation amounts will differ on weekend rentals. A call out fee of SAR (Incl tax), as a result of customer negligence, will be charged within a 50km radius for all hours. Roadside assistance counter product waivers the cost of the call-out fee for non-mechanicale breadkowns. There will be a charge of SAR (incl tax) for the replacement of key tags should they be lost or damaged. Gauteng e-toll charges will be charged the day after check-in. An e-toll administration fee of SAR (Incl tax) will be charged per rental in addition to the relevant e-toll tariffs incurred. There will be a charge of SAR (incl tax) for all lost/stolen/damaged e-toll tags. Liability charges apply to all lost/stolen/damaged special equipment: Child safety seats SAR / Bicycle racks: SAR / GPS units SAR (incl tax). Accessory charges will also apply for GPS units and Bicycle Racks per part at cost. A charge of SAR will be applied to any reservations where the renter is a no show. Roadside assistance is available and sold at the rental counter at a charge of SAR per day. This includes assistance to customers for change of tyres, keys locked in the vehicle, flat battery, no fuel and vehicle changeover due to non-mechanical failure. Charges for repairs or replacements will apply. A call-out fee of SAR (incl tax) applies. Roadside assistance counter product waivers the cost of the call-out fee as indicated above. A valet charge of SAR (incl tax) will apply per vehicle. Paraplegic hand controls are available for drivers with disabilities, however, a 72 hour advance reservation is required (available on car groups E and H). RRF / VRF (Road Fund Fee or Vehicle Licence Fee) SAR cost per rental (included in the price returned). Any additional drivers must be present when you collect the car. All drivers must meet our conditions of rental. See the Driver Licence/ID and Age Requirement sections for full details. Age information Minimum age for renting is 18 years with a valid driver's licence and accepted method of payement. Driver's licence must be valid for a minimum of 1 year. THERE IS NO MAXIMUM AGE, HOWEVER, SUPER PAI IS NOT AVAILABLE TO PERSONS OVER THE AGE OF 75. Young driver surcharge is applicable to international drivers uner 21 years of age per driver at a cost of SAR /day Payment options Credit card(s) will be required for full rental charges and a deposit for any excess. Taking your vehicle outside the country Cross-border fee: Namibia and Botswana: SAR Swaziland and Lesotho: SAR RENTERS WISHING TO ENTER NAMIBIA, BOTSWANA AND SWAZILAND MUST BE IN POSSESSION OF A LETTER OF AUTHORITY OBTAINABLE FROM A BUDGET AGENT AT THE TIME OF RENTAL. A CROSS BORDER CHARGE OF NAD APPLIES AT THE NAMIBIAN BORDER IF DRIVING A

3 NON-NAMIBIAN VEHICLE. A ROAD TAX FEE OF SAR WILL BE CHARGED AT SWAZILAND'S BORDER TO BE PAID TO SWAZILAND AUTHORITIES FOR ALL CARS WITH A FOREIGN LICENCE PLATE. NO CROSS BORDERS ALLOWED TO MALAWI, ANGOLA AND ZAMBIA EVEN IF RETURNING TO SOUTH AFRICA. ONEWAY CROSS BORDER RENTALS INTO ZIMBABWE AND MOZAMBIQUE ARE NOT PERMITTED. Waiver and protection options Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) Collision Damage Waiver reduces your liability if the vehicle is damaged. If the vehicle is damaged you will pay the cost of repair up to the liability amount. CDW is included in most leisure rates sold on Budget websites. This reduces your liability if the vehicle is stolen (subject to a liability) CDW is available at this location. The costs and liability charges are detailed in the table below. If your rate includes CDW this cost is already included in your rental price. Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) Super CDW reduces the liability you would pay if the vehicle is damaged. The reduced excess is shown in the table below. Super CDW is also known as liability Reduction. Theft Protection (TP) Theft Protection reduces your liability if the vehicle is stolen (subject to a liability). The costs and liability charges are detailed in the table below. If your rate includes Theft Protection this cost is already included in your rental price. Super Theft Protection (STP) Super Theft Protection reduces the LIABILITY you would need to pay if the vehicle is stolen. The reduced liability is shown in the table below. Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) SAR per day which is excluded from the rate. Third Party Liability Third Party Liability covers drivers in case of damage, including damage to passengers and their property, when using a Budget vehicle. Limited third party liability. Limited coverage of passenger liability. Loss by fire also covered. The value of the cover is limited to ZAR 10 million. No cover for loss or damage through civil unrest. Any breach of terms and conditions stated on rental agreement renders cover nul and void. The renter must purchase either Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP) or Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) and Super Theft Protection (STP). Renters may not decline waivers and use credit card insurance cover. Personal property is not covered by the liability waivers reflected above. If CDW, TP, SCDW and STP or any combination thereof is purchased and the vehicle is taken outside the country of origin, with the written consent of Budget Rent a Car, the terms and conditions as stipulated in the rental agreement of the country of origin will apply. All liability waivers shall not include any damage to the vehicle incurred as a result of potholes, dust storms and/or sand. For towing charges the renter will be liable for the full cost of towing and storage costs. AN INTERNATIONAL DRIVER'S LICENCE IS REQUIRED FOR FOREIGN RENTERS TO AVOID POSSIBLE COMPLICATIONS WHEN COLLECTING A VEHICLE, WE ADVISE FOREIGN TRAVELLERS TO PRODUCE A DRIVER'S LICENCE WHICH HAS BEEN ISSUED IN THE SAME COUNTRY AS THEIR PASSPORT. RULE OF THE ROAD - LEFT Fuel charges Budget vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel at the start of a rental. At the end of the rental all vehicles will be refuelled by Budget that will be charged to the renter. Fuel will be charged in accordance with the standard government legislation fuel tariff. Even if the vehicle fuel gauge indicates the fuel tank is full, Budget will still refuel the vehicle. This is to ensure that vehicles are filled to capacity. There will be a refuelling admin fee of SAR20.00 if the vehicle needs to be refuelled off site. Please be aware that you cannot purchase fuel with a credit card at petrol stations. One Way Rentals Domestic: One way rentals apply within South Africa. Exceptions do apply, please refer to the reservation quote. International: One way rentals to Mozambique and Zimbabwe are not permitted. For all other one way cross border rentals fees, please refer to the reservation quote. Collecting and returning your vehicle The driver must present driver's licence and/or passport when collecting the vehicle. Please see the Driving Licence/ID Requirements section for more information. During Office Hours (Weekdays 08h00-17h00) If you are delayed and arrive outside of office hours due to a delayed flight no additional charge will apply. If you are late we will guarantee your rental for 24 hours. After this time your reserved car may be released and rented to another customer. Out of Office Hours - Collection It may be possible to collect the vehicle out of office hours. A request reservation is required and expected time of arrival must be noted on the reservation. Out of Office Hours - Return If the vehicle is returned outside of office hours the driver is liable for damage or theft until the car has been inspected by a member of Budget staff. You may return the vehicle out of hours if you request this at the time of booking. There is no charge for this service. Instructions to return your vehicle outside of office hours: vehicle keys must be placed in the key returns box.
