2 ABGA PREMIER PARTNERS Program The PREMIER PARTNERS program recognizes the best of our best our top producers and managers. The benefits and recognition Partners receive are our thanks for entrusting us with so much of the Partners business, and represent our promise to provide the tools, support, and service needed to be their partner of choice. This brochure gives an overview of the ABGA PREMIER PARTNERS benefits. Additional details can be found in the PREMIER PARTNERS section of your Lincoln Web site. Two separate companies issue Lincoln life insurance policies. New York policies are issued by Lincoln Life & Annuity Company of New York, Syracuse, NY. For all other states, policies are issued by The Lincoln National Life Insurance Company, Fort Wayne, IN. These companies are separately responsible for satisfying their own financial and contractual obligations.

3 ABGA PREMIER PARTNERS Qualification Requirements Partner status for 2013 is based on Net PAP-R from January 1, through December 31, A Partner is eligible for benefits beginning in Membership levels Personal Producers qualify for one of five membership levels based on their personal production membership level Net PAP-R (based on 12/31/12 total) Bronze $105,000 Silver $165,000 Gold $330,000 Platinum $660,000 Platinum Plus $1,320,000 Agencies and sales units Agencies and sales units qualify for one of four membership levels based on the production of producers directly within their management hierarchy. The four levels are Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Platinum Plus. Calculating Net PAP-R Life insurance Category Net PAP-R equals Fixed life insurance Variable universal life insurance* Proprietary Proprietary and nonproprietary products sold through Lincoln Financial Securities (LFS) 100% of paid annualized target premium plus 5% of paid excess premium 100% of paid annualized target premium plus 5% of paid excess premium Fixed annuities Proprietary 5% of paid premium Lincoln MoneyGuard Lincoln MoneyGuard Single premium Flexible premium Exclusions: group, variable annuities, mutual funds 15% of paid premium 100% of paid target premium plus 5% of paid excess premium *Proprietary individual and survivorship variable life sold through a nonaffiliated broker-dealer can be used to qualify for PREMIER PARTNERS benefits that are not subject to the noncash rules. Under certain circumstances, the producer may have to obtain permission from their broker/dealer to receive benefits, and compensation may be paid through the broker-dealer.

4 ABGA PREMIER PARTNERS Qualification Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Pinnacle Producers and managers who have achieved PREMIER PARTNERS status at the Silver level or higher for a total of 10 years or more will earn Pinnacle Group membership. Pinnacle qualifiers receive a special blazer bearing the Pinnacle emblem, to be awarded at the next Convention or Summit for which they qualify and attend, a press release for publication in their local newspaper, hosted meals and accommodations during the Symposium, and recognition in Partner Magazine. Pinnacle Members will also be eligible to participate in the Deferred Compensation Program. Pinnacle membership is permanent regardless of future Partner status. Senior Agent Status Sustaining Partners who have reached age 60 and have been contracted with Lincoln for at least 10 years can qualify at the Silver level based on a reduced Net PAP-R. Qualification requirements for the Silver level are reduced by 10% beginning at age 60 and are reduced by 5% increments each year thereafter, capped at 30% for Partners age 65 or older. Sustaining Sustaining Status is given to Partners who meet PREMIER PARTNERS production requirements at the Silver level or higher for four consecutive years. Sustaining Partners receive additional program benefits and recognition as thanks for their continued loyalty. Sustaining Partners who miss one year of PREMIER PARTNERS qualification at the Silver level or higher may have their Sustaining Status reinstated if they requalify the following year at the Silver level or higher.

5 ABGA PREMIER PARTNERS Benefits REWARDS Convention & Summit 1 Incentive Trips Both the Convention and Summit programs offer a full schedule of in-depth training and peer review of current issues and challenges in the financial sector with a focus on the insurance industry. Convention requires qualification at the Silver level for Producers, and Summit requires $420,000 of Net PAP-R and a top 100 ranking among ABGA, GA and MGA channels combined. Management qualification is different. Refer to the PREMIER PARTNERS section of your Lincoln Web site for details. Corporate Discounts 2,3 Lincoln Financial has negotiated corporate discounts with a number of vendors. Discounted items include wireless phone service, clothing, shipping rates, office furniture and more. Corporate discounts are third-party programs with the suppliers; therefore, terms and availability are subject to change at any time and without prior notification. Deferred Compensation Program 3 An exclusive benefit of PREMIER PARTNERS membership, the Lincoln Deferred Compensation Program allows Partners to defer a percentage of their commission income, including bonuses and/or LFS gross dealer concessions on a pretax basis as part of their personal retirement program. Based on their membership level, Partners may defer Federal and most State income and self-employment taxes on all contributions and earnings to their account until they receive benefits. Pinnacle members who are not current Partners may also participate up to a maximum of 75%. The Deferred Compensation Program is administered by a third-party vendor, and the Company reserves the right to amend or terminate the Plan at any time. Hosted Events 4 From time to time Lincoln Financial Group receives tickets to various sporting events. Partners may be eligible to receive tickets throughout the year as a tool for hosting key clients and developing business relationships. Events are limited to those in which Lincoln Financial Group is either a sponsor or has a direct advertising relationship with the said sponsor. Partners interested in potentially receiving tickets may notify us throughout the year, and channel management will determine to whom tickets are given. Tickets are limited. Image Builder 2,5,6 Image Builder funds provide reimbursement to assist Partners with approved business expenses. Amounts are based on PREMIER PARTNERS membership level. Image Builder reimbursement will be included in the Partner s current year income for tax purposes. First-time Qualifying Partners at the Bronze and Silver levels are not eligible for this benefit. All Image Builder reimbursement requests must be submitted by December 1 of each program year.

6 Matching Gifts 9 Sustaining Partners may use their Image Builder funds to match contributions made to Section 501(c)(3) organizations. The organizations must fit the established guidelines of Lincoln Financial s Matching Gift Program in order to receive tax-deductible contributions. Industry Dues Reimbursement 2,5 Sustaining Partners who are members of industry organizations and list Lincoln Financial Group as their primary company affiliation may be eligible for dues subsidy reimbursement. The dues subsidy reimbursement will be included in the Partner s current year income for tax purposes. Eligible organizations include: MDRT, NAIFA, SFSP, AALU, NAILBA, Forum 400, FPA and GAMA. OmniSource Reimbursement The ABGA Channel reimburses Silver, Gold and Platinum level Partners a portion of their annual LFS OmniSource fee. Reimbursement amounts are based on qualification level. Fees not covered by this reimbursement may be submitted as part of the Partner s 2013 Image Builder claim providing the Partner is eligible for Image Builder and has funds available. Stock Options 2,8 Lincoln National Corporation Stock Options are awarded to 2013 Partners qualifying at Gold, Platinum or Platinum Plus levels, and Silver level Partners who have qualified at least once before. Options are generally vested over a three-year period based on the Partner requalifying for the program at the Silver level or higher. PREMIER PARTNERS Stock Options are classified as noncash benefits by FINRA. Eligibility for the Stock Option program is based on the previous year s sales and operating results, and is subject to approval by the Board Compensation Committee of Lincoln National Corporation. The Committee always reserves the right to suspend the Stock Option program at any time with respect to new grants and in its exclusive discretion. Sustaining Partners receive additional Stock Options that vest immediately. PRIORITY SERVICE Concierge Desk Partners receive first-class treatment through the Concierge Desk, which stands ready to answer questions related to PREMIER PARTNERS program benefits and qualifications. Executive Service Center The Executive Service Center gives Partners one-stop access to a team of dedicated Customer Service representatives who can assist with their in-force policy needs. Executive Service Center benefits are available to Partners at the Silver level and higher.

7 Individual Annuity Services Partners servicing Individual Fixed and Variable Annuity contracts have access to an experienced service team that is empowered to resolve complex issues and to provide specialized service for this block of business. A dedicated box ensures that Partners inquiries will receive immediate attention. Individual Annuity support is accessible via the Executive Service Center, which is a benefit available to Partners at the Silver level or higher. Dedicated service is not available for Employer Sponsored annuities/plans. PREMIER PARTNERS Labels To ensure that Partners are recognized and their business is expedited throughout the Home Office customer service areas, distinctive PREMIER PARTNERS labels are provided to Partners qualifying at the Silver level and higher. These labels can be affixed to items ranging from new business applications to illustration requests. Labels are available through the PREMIER PARTNERS Concierge Desk. Producer Solutions Support The Producer Solutions team is committed to giving PREMIER PARTNERS members their highest priority. Compensation and contracting questions and issues will be put at the forefront for immediate attention and resolution. When Partners call the Producer Solutions Support area, they can rest assured that an experienced team will work quickly and efficiently to resolve the most complex of issues and facilitate workable solutions. Sales Desk Support Partners will work with a dedicated sales team that is committed to maintaining strong relationships and delivering innovative financial solutions through a consultative approach. They will experience world-class support, which includes case design, product training and education, access to competitive intelligence and assistance throughout the underwriting/new business process. Underwriting / New Business Partners work with a customer-focused, dedicated team of Underwriters and New Business Staff, who are familiar with their PREMIER PARTNERS status. They will have access to Underwriters for case discussions and our commitment to follow the Lincoln Financial philosophy of responsibly aggressive underwriting. Partner cases receive higher prioritization and attention within the team, and as an added benefit, all of their policies, with the exception of term and annuity policies, will be mailed via FedEx. Underwriting/ New Business priority service is available to Partners at the Silver level and above.

10 TRAINING AND EDUCATION Horsesmouth In conjunction with The Office of Practice Management, Lincoln Financial PREMIER PARTNERS members can receive access to the Horsesmouth website and their library of articles as well as a subscription to Daily Oats. The Daily Oats newsletter from Horsesmouth provides up-to-the-minute market news and analysis. The articles are short and packed with good ideas and information for Advisors on a variety of topics such as business development, practice management, financial planning, client management, managed money and investing. The Horsesmouth library contains articles and tools including those designed to help you Develop Business, Build Knowledge, Sharpen Skills, etc. PREMIER PARTNERS Staff Training 2,7 Partners are invited to send one member of their Staff to the Lincoln Home Office for 1 1/2 days of in-depth training centered around Lincoln s product portfolio, Underwriting/New Business, customer service, technology, illustration software and more. Lincoln pays for hotel and meals for staff of Partners at Silver and above, and the Partner pays for transportation. Image Builder funds can be used for transportation costs. PREMIER PARTNERS Symposium 2 Hosted by senior leaders from Lincoln Financial, the Symposium features dynamic speakers from our PREMIER PARTNERS group and the financial services industry, informative workshops conducted by top advisors, and lively sales idea exchanges. Symposium attendees will come away with an enhanced knowledge of Lincoln s products and marketing tools. Lincoln pays for one night s hotel for Partners at Silver and above. Image Builder funds can be used for transportation costs. COMMUNICATION Ambassador Benefit By way of dedicated Home Office liaisons, the Ambassador Benefit helps facilitate effective and timely resolutions of escalated issues encountered by our Partners with enhanced communication, and strengthens relationships between Partners and Home Office/Senior Management. Ambassadors provide Senior Management teams with information on common issues so that they can proactively improve overall service. This benefit is available to Partners at the Silver level and higher. PREMIER PARTNERS Advisory Council The PREMIER PARTNERS Advisory Council (PPAC) is the voice of the field for Lincoln Financial Network. Its mission is to collaborate with the Home Office on initiatives that will lead to growth in sales, better positioning of Lincoln in the marketplace, and clear and open communication between Lincoln and its field force. The PPAC seeks Partners feedback, insight and ideas as a means of finding better ways to deliver Lincoln products and services to Partners and their clients. Frequent meetings of the PPAC, its subcommittees and Senior Management throughout the year, help to ensure that our Partners needs and interests take the highest priority.

11 1 For purposes of Convention and Summit qualification, New York business is excluded from Net PAP-R. Producers who are affiliated with an outside broker-dealer or who are not registered representatives must qualify for Convention and Summit based on proprietary fixed life, Lincoln MoneyGuard, and proprietary fixed annuity Net PAP-R only. All business must be placed in-force during our qualification period from January 1, 2012 through December 31, New producers who are appointed after April 1, 2012, can qualify for the 2013 Convention with $110,000 of Net PAP-R between April 1, and December 31, Producers who meet the requirements to be a Senior Agent can qualify for the 2013 Convention with a reduced amount. Producers who qualify for the Summit trip may choose to attend the Summit trip or an enhanced Convention trip, but not both. 2 All New York business is excluded for noncash PREMIER PARTNERS benefits. Partners who are registered with an outside broker-dealer must qualify for noncash benefits based on proprietary individual and survivorship fixed life, Lincoln MoneyGuard, and proprietary individual fixed annuity Net PAP-R only. Proprietary individual and survivorship variable life sold through a nonaffiliated broker-dealer can be used to qualify for PREMIER PARTNERS benefits that are not subject to the noncash rules. Under certain circumstances, the producer may have to obtain permission from their broker-dealer to receive benefits, and compensation may be paid through the broker-dealer. 3 Corporate Discount Program is a third-party program with the suppliers; therefore, terms and availability are subject to change without prior notification. The Deferred Compensation Program is administered by a third-party vendor, and the Company reserves the right to amend or terminate the Deferred Compensation Plan at any time. Participants will be informed of any changes to the Plan if they become necessary. 4 Tickets are non-transferable, and are to be used for hosting key clients and developing business relationships only. Guests under 21 years of age are not permitted. Failure to adhere to Hosted Events guidelines may result in the loss of ticketing privileges for future games and a charge of $150/person for the cost of the ticket and hospitality (if applicable). 5 Image Builder and industry dues reimbursement will be included in the Partner s current year s income for income tax purposes. Must list Lincoln Financial Group as primary company on the industry organization application. List of approved business expenses for Image Builder is subject to change. 6 Excludes First-time Qualifying Bronze and Silver level Partners. 7 Attendance is based on 2013 PREMIER PARTNERS membership level. Partners who are registered with an outside broker-dealer must obtain approval from their Broker Dealer prior to their Staff attending. 8 PREMIER PARTNERS Stock Options are classified as noncash benefits by FINRA. Business written in New York cannot count toward qualification for Stock Options. Eligibility for the Stock Option Program is based on the previous year s sales and operating results, and subject to approval by Lincoln Financial Group Board Compensation Committee.
