List of Speakers Randall Goodden is known worldwide for his public and in-house seminars and keynote presentations on product safety & product liability prevention, and is the author of the 3 best selling books on the topic, the latest titled Lawsuit! Reducing the Risk of Product Liability for Manufacturers. He is also a consultant to manufacturers. He is the President and Founder of the IPSLP Association. Attorney Josh Johanningmeier is a shareholder in Godfrey & Kahn s Product Liability and Tort Practice Group. He defends manufacturers in product liability actions involving personal injury, wrongful death and property damage and works with manufacturers to assess and develop on-product warnings as well as instruction and user manuals for products. He also counsels manufacturers, distributors and retailers on regulatory compliance and recall issues. Dennis Blasius is currently the Director of Field Operations in the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission s (CPSC) Office of Compliance and Field Operations. Dennis is responsible for working with the Compliance, Epidemiology and Legal staffs to coordinate civil and criminal product safety investigations nationwide. He is responsible for a nationwide Field staff that includes the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Dennis also coordinates the CPSC s Internet Surveillance Unit. Attorney Mark Kinzie is a principal with Averture and specializes in regulatory compliance and product recall for product manufacturers. The subject of his legal work is always a product and is always evaluating a product in the supply chain. Mark is been a delegate member from ANSI TAG to ISO and ISO 10393, which is writing the industry standards on product safety and product recall. Peter Dion is the Line of Business Director-Product Liability, North America for Risk Engineering at Zurich Insurance. Peter manages a team of ten Product Specialists. He is also a member of the Global Risk Engineering Technical Center headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. Peter has facilitated product liability training courses to Underwriters, Risk Engineers, and external customers throughout North America, Asia, and Europe. Attorney Edward B. Ruff, III, is the managing partner and a shareholder of Pretzel & Stouffer. He has tried over fifty cases to verdict, in the areas of product liability, mass tort, fire loss, bad faith, intellectual property and professional negligence. Currently, he is lead national counsel for a distributor to The Home Depot in a multi district litigation arising out of a product recall. Attorney Charles E. Joern, Jr. concentrates his practice in the area of consumer product safety laws and product liability litigation. He counsels and represents manufacturers, importers, distributors and retailers of consumer products before the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and assists clients faced with the challenges of complying with CPSC mandatory reporting obligations, regulatory investigations, recalls, and civil penalty matters. Attorney Brian Cahill is one of the founding members of Gass Weber Mullins. His primary areas of practice are product liability defense, commercial litigation, and general personal injury defense. Brian was selected a Wisconsin Super Lawyer for the years 2007 through Prior to returning to private practice in 2004, Brian spent over nine years as in-house counsel for CNH Global, one of the world s largest agricultural and construction equipment manufacturers. Dave Ludwin is CNA's Products Liability Risk Control Director. Dave brings over 35 years loss control experience to the position as both a practicing field loss control consultant as well as a consulting director responsible for maintaining the product liability skills of CNA's Risk Control staff. Mr. Ludwin in a professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and a gold level Certified Safety Professional. Marcello Presutti is CNA s AVP of Underwriting. A commercial insurance professional with more than 25 years of underwriting and management experience in a variety of roles. Marcello holds the position of Casualty Practice Leader for the Northern and Central Zones, with extensive expertise in Manufacturing, Distribution, and related industry segments. Storm the Bastille Thursday, July 12, pm Run through the streets of Downtown Milwaukee with 4,000 of your closest friends! Runners and walkers kick off Bastille Days with the annual BMO Harris Bank Storm of the Bastille 5K Run/walk, in honor of the 18th century attack on the Bastille prison in Paris. The 5-K run and 2-mile walk will take place on opening night of the festival, July 12th at 9pm. This year's 5K run/walk will begin on North Jefferson Street, adjacent to Cathedral Square Park.
