2 CRUISE AND LAND ITINERARY Sept. 23 & 24 - Depart North America - Arrive in Rome Your pilgrimage begins as you depart North America and arrive in Rome. Time permitting, take a panoramic tour of the Eternal City before embarking on the luxurious Jewel of the Seas. Sept Taormina, Italy Explore Taormina, climb to the mountaintop Greek Theater with its spectacular views of the Mediterranean and Mt. Etna. Enjoy a gelato while shopping or simply wander the streets with the occasional breathtaking view over the cliffs to the seaside below. Sept, 26 - Valletta, Malta Travel to St. Paul s Bay to see the traditional site of Paul s shipwreck and view St. Paul s island from there. Embark on a narrated tour of Valletta, capital of Malta and a city replete with medieval charm and extravagantly grand architecture. No exploration would be complete without a visit to Valletta s crowning jewel, St. John s Co-Cathedral. This baroque masterpiece was commissioned in 1572 by Grand Master Jean de la Cassiere for the Knights of St John. In fact, several Knights donated gifts of art to ensure it was adorned with only the finest works. Enjoy a little free time to explore the area s charming shops and cafes before returning to the ship. Sept At Sea Sept Mykonos, Greece (on own) Have a delightful day exploring the exceptional beauty and culture of the Greek island of Mykonos with its lovely bays and beaches, distinctive whitewashed structures, and cobblestone streets. Shore excursions are booked through Royal Caribbean. Sept Santorini, Greece (on own) Visit Santorini, one of the most beautiful of the Greek islands. Its picturesque whitewashed villages with brilliant blue domes dot the cliffs above the Aegean Sea. The island itself perches on the edges of a volcano whose eruption 3,500 years ago is thought to have led to the collapse of the Minoan civilization. Shore excursions are booked through Royal Caribbean. Sept Athens & Corinth, Greece The architectural splendors of the ancient city of Athens are as magical as ever. View the world-renowned Acropolis, the Propylaea, and the Parthenon. Time permitting, view Mars Hill where Paul debated with the intellectual community of his day. Walk among the ruins of the Agora, the ancient market place and center of Athenian public life. You will view the Olympic Stadium, home of the Olympics. Travel to Corinth (Acts 18), a city that inspired St. Paul s most familiar letter. You will visit the Archaeological Museum, the Market Place, and Temples. Walk among the ruins and stand on the Bema where Paul stood. Read Paul s letter to the Corinthians and visualize his address to the Gentiles as he began the task of building Corinth s church. Oct. 1 At Sea Oct. 2 - Pompeii, Italy Journey inland to ancient Pompeii, dating almost to the time of Paul, where you can see the spectacular ruins that were covered by ash from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in A.D. 79. Oct. 3 - Ancient Rome Disembark this morning in Rome. History is woven through the streets and neighborhoods of Rome as in no other city. Today you ll explore the many wonders of ancient Rome when you visit the magnificent Colosseum and the Pantheon. From the most sacred hill of ancient Rome, Campidoglio, you ll view the Forum. You ll also view the Circus Maximus, the Arch of Titus, the famous Baths of Caracalla and the Arch of Constantine. You ll see the Victor Emanuel Monument and the Monti Region, Rome s most ancient neighborhood which spreads over three of her seven hills. Our last stop of the day is the Basilica of St. Paul s Outside the Walls, housing the Tomb of St. Paul the Apostle, affectionately known as the Apostle of the Gentiles. In the afternoon, you ll discover why Rome is also known as the City of Love. You ll explore the romance of Rome as you climb the graceful Spanish Steps and stop at the famous Trevi Fountain. Legend says those who toss a coin into the fountain will one day return to Rome to toss another into the waters of Trevi. Checkin to your hotel in Rome for dinner and overnight. Oct. 4 - Vatican City Tour Christianity came late in Rome s long history, conquering and changing the city in a way few other invaders have. Experience the glory of Christian Rome today as you visit the Vatican, home to one of the greatest museums in the world. And, of course, tour St. Peter s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo s frescoes, now restored to their full, colorful glory. Tour the Catacombs of St. Sebastino. In the event of any change beyond TCBTT- Marianatha Tours control, including but not limited to increase in the price of fuel, currency fluctuations affecting our costs, or increases in government taxes or levies. TCBTT- Marianatha Tours reserves the right to surcharge the passenger/s up to 7% of a tour cost. Price is subject to change if minimum number of pilgrims (30 for this cruise/tour) is not met. Should there be considerable currency fluctuations, we reserve the right to apply any necessary surcharges. In the event of any additional fuel surcharges by the Cruise, Land Suppliers and/or airlines we reserve the right to add these to the costs of the land package and/or airfare. Any applicable increases will be advised in writing prior to final payment. Cabin Availability : After 05/15/19 or once we have sold out of our allotment of cabins we can no longer guarantee cabin pricing. Cabins purchased after this date will be subject to availability and may require a supplemental charge. Price is based on double occupancy. When available, single rooms/cabins are often smaller than doubles. While we will try to match roommates, we cannot guarantee one will be available. REGISTRATIONS RECEIVED after May 15, 2019: We welcome registrations after 05/15/19. Registrations received between 06/11/19-06/25/19 will incur a $100 per person fee. Registrations received between 06/26/19-07/10/19 will incur a $200 per person fee. Registrations received between 07/11/19-07/25/19 will incur a $400 per person fee. Registrations received on 07/26/19 or later will be subject to cabin availability and may require a supplemental cabin charge as well as the air fees above. Additional fees will be advised upon registration. CANCELLATION FEES: 100% of Cancellation Fees are covered by the optional Trip Cancellation insurance provided premium has been paid and reason for cancellation is coverable. Those who do not take travel protection should be aware of the following cancellation penalties: From day of registration to 181 days prior to departure, you will be charged a $100 nonrefundable administrative fee plus any airline fees. Additionally, thereafter, you will be charged any airline penalties and a single room supplement if your cancellation forces your roommate into a single plus the following charges: days = $200; days = $600; days = $1,100; days = 50% of total cost; days = 75% of total cost; 30-day of departure = 100% of total cost. Submit cancellation in writing. FIT TO TRAVEL STATEMENT: Passengers registering for the tour accept the responsibility for being in good health and able to walk and travel on the tour. Because many of the sites are not accessible to the physically challenged, those needing oxygen, wheelchairs, or other ambulatory assistance will find the tour extremely limiting to their experiences. PASSPORT INFORMATION, CONFIRMATION OF ITINERARY & CHECK IN PROCESS: Passport information must be submitted to our office by 5/15/19. Failure to provide your passport information to our office by this date may result in change fees or denial of travel. 120 days prior to your trip you will be contacted to re-confirm your itinerary, travel arrangements and registration information during the preliminary check in process for your trip. Discrepancies in information or failure to check in for your cruise may result in change fees, delays in receiving travel documents for your trip, or denial of travel. PRICE INCREASES All prices quoted in this brochure are subject to change prior to payment in full due to currency fluctuations, fuel surcharge increases, government taxes and fees increases or unforeseen circumstances. Once "printed", airline tickets cannot be changed or refunded thereafter. Air transportation to/from your destination will be economy class on IATA and ARC carriers utilizing APEX or SUPER APEX non-refundable, non-amendable tickets for groups of 10 or more flying together on entire itinerary. If you choose to depart from a different city than your group or travelling companion, or deviate your flight and/or trip plans, and/or you are taking a pre or post tour, you may fly on a different scheduled flight(s) than the rest of your group.
