2 Pins for Prevention Pins for Prevention will be worn by Police Officers and others in our Community for the month of April. Pins for Prevention was an idea of the late Officer Dustin Lynds, of the Bennington Police Department. With our office hosting the #Benningtongoesblue campaign each year, Officer Lynds wanted to find a way that he could participate while in uniform serving our community. A pin on his uniform was a way for him to participate and help raise awareness. Since the Bennington Police Department kicked this off last April, multiple other departments and community members have joined in and are wearing pins. If you are interested in purchasing a pin to wear for the month of April, Please contact Jenna Caslin at jenna.caslin@partner.vermont.gov We ask for a minimum donation of $1 per pin. SHIRT DISPLAY CREATING EVENTS Our office will host the following evenings for individuals who have been impacted by Child Abuse and Sexual Assault, to come and create a t-shirt for the Clothesline Project display. During these hours you can either create a shirt or drop off a shirt you created on your own. 5 Good Food, Great Cause I AM EVIDENCE exposes the alarming number of untested rape kits in the United States through a character driven narrative, bringing much needed attention to the disturbing pattern of how the criminal justice system has historically treated sexual assault survivors. In this film, we seek to send a clear message to survivors that they matter, that we as a nation will do everything possible to bring them a path to healing and justice, and that their perpetrators will be held accountable for their crimes.
