Bats and birds are invasive bug species eaters and mosquito hunters. Your Eagle Scout Project is very much appreciated! Weston began scouting in 2010; has earned 45 merit badges; an Environmental Conservationist Award; has served his troop by holding positions such as Chaplains Aide, Troop Guide, and has recently been elected to The Order of the Arrow. 2 Page 2 Minutes of the Meeting of the LHOA Board of Directors March 10, 2015 Meeting called to order 7:32 PM Attendees: Robert Downey, Paul Engdorf, Karen Seale, Maria Shaver, Valarie Jones, Becky Lawson, Amy Rush and Patrick Turner. The minutes of the February Board of Directors meeting were read and approved. Treasurer s Report: Presented and approved. New Budget presented and approved. Past HOA dues are currently at $14,692.98; prior month was $16, We are currently just below 6% of homeowners in arrears. We have received $139, in dues to date. We are having good results in homeowners making payments for payment plan agreements as agreed. Letters will go out at the end of the month to homeowners who do not pay their dues by the 15th of March (or by the date of their letter). Signature cards have been completed at the bank and Karen Seale, new HOA Secretary, has officially been added to the LHOA bank accounts. As of 2/28/15 Checking account balance $ 88, Savings account balance 124, Checking account #2 balance Total cash assets $213, Total Expenses for January = $6, Committee Reports: Audit Report HOA records are currently at CPA s office for yearly review. Club House - The clubhouse is closed for tile and painting renovations. New flooring, paint, staining of beam and new bathroom partitions will all be completed by mid April. We are planning a pot luck dinner open house at the May HOA meeting. Come on out and join us and see our new look. Dinner and sound-off starts at 7 pm. Adult Committee - Have you ever wanted to learn how to make a t-shirt quilt? Mark your calendar for Part I of T-shirt Quilting Class, Saturday, July 11th, instructor Candy.

3 Page 3 Children s Committee: Easter Egg Hunt and Petting Zoo activities are planned for March 28th 10 am to 12 noon. End of year pool party planned for June. ACC Committee: One request to install a new roof. One request to install new windows. Both approved. Old Business: 2015 Landscaping contract accepted and signed. Playground mulch to be ordered in time for Spring Fling. Spring flowers will be installed by Noack Landscaping and Design. Pool bands for the 2015 pool season have arrived. Pick up your bands from the pool. New Business: Board voted to raise the bookkeepers salary by $50 a month. From $400 to $ Pool Hours will be adjusted pending contract acceptance. There are 3 extra pool days this summer due to school schedule. Negotiation to save $3,000 on this year s contract. A special thank you to Chris, Jamie and Matt, firemen of the B Shift at Spring Fire Station #76, for their help in spreading the playground mulch. We thank you for your fine service to our community. 6 Page 6 What would Londonderry be without all of the beautiful trees? Trees add value to our homes. Due to the large number of trees that have been lost to Hurricane Ike and the two year drought it has become necessary to monitor the number of trees being removed in order to preserve our property values. If you need to remove a tree or trees (dead or alive) please download the ACC Request for Changes form, fill it out and drop it in the mailbox at the clubhouse. Dead trees must be removed immediately due to safety concerns. If you want to make changes to your landscape design that involves removing a live tree the ACC committee must approve your proposed changes, including the replanting of replacement trees. Whether you remove a dead or living tree, please replant a tree in it's place. 8 Page 8 Metzler Elementary Kindergarten Round-Up Kindergarten is a readiness program that is an important part of a pupil's elementary education. The Klein ISD provides a tuition-free kindergarten program for all students in the district who are five years old on or before September 1, Metzler Elementary School will hold its Kindergarten Round-Up on April 28, The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the cafeteria. If you know of someone who has a child of kindergarten age but does not have a student currently enrolled at Metzler, please share this information with them. If your subdivision is zoned for French Elementary for the school year, please know that you may attend Metzler s round-up and register for French s kindergarten program.
