Conversion weekend During the weekend of May 4 May 7, 2018, our two banks will consolidate operations, and County First Bank customers will transition to Community Bank of the Chesapeake. About your accounts Please keep in mind that your account numbers are not expected to change. If changes are needed in the future, you will receive advance notification, and we will assist you through the process. What to expect We prepared this conversion guide to help you transition to Community Bank of the Chesapeake and to share with you a little bit about our bank, some of our more popular products and services, and our history of serving this community. In addition, you will find a conversion weekend timeline, so you know exactly what to expect, along with an FAQ section. 4 About Us Founded: 1950 Markets we serve: Southern Maryland, Annapolis, Maryland and Fredericksburg, Virginia. Our locations: Annapolis (commercial lending center), Bryans Road, California, Charlotte Hall, Dunkirk, La Plata, Leonardtown, Lusby, Prince Frederick and Waldorf, Md and Fredericksburg, Va. Asset size: $1.6 billion How We Came To Be In 1950, Mr. Leo Middleton, along with some other community leaders, opened Community Bank of the Chesapeake (then Tri-County Building and Loan) in Waldorf, Maryland. Our new bank was a way for Mr. Middleton to help our neighbors and community especially after World War II, when working class families had a hard time getting the credit they needed to buy or build a home. Conversion Weekend Friday, May 4, 2018 All branches (County First Bank and Community Bank of the Chesapeake) will close at the end of business Friday, May 4, 2018 and will remain closed through conversion weekend. On Monday, May 7, 2018, all branches remaining in the network (see pg. 28) will open with normal banking hours. Throughout conversion weekend, you can use your County First Checkcard at ATMs and merchants as usual. Online and mobile banking will be available in view mode only. Monday, May 7, 2018 Going forward, all business will be conducted under the Community Bank of the Chesapeake name and operating system. All branches will open with normal business hours. Access to Online Banking, Mobile Banking, etc. will again be available, however you will need to log in to Community Bank of the Chesapeake s Online Banking, download the new app for mobile banking and activate your new cards (see pg. 21). Although our technology has evolved, and our branches have grown in number and size, the heart and soul of Community Bank of the Chesapeake remain the same. We continue to support our friends and neighbors in Southern Maryland and the Fredericksburg region with personal service, financial solutions and warm, meaningful relationships. However, if there is something we missed, please call your local branch. About the Branches Q: What if I need to contact Community Bank of the Chesapeake outside of branch hours? Q: Why are Community Bank of the Chesapeake and County First Bank joining forces? The decision by County First Bank and Community Bank of the Chesapeake to combine will enable us to better serve the banking needs of the Southern Maryland community, and provide added services and convenience to a broader group of individuals, families and businesses. Our two banks have much in common, including our dedication to putting customers, employees, shareholders and the community first. Q: Will there be any branch closings? Yes. After a thorough review of traffic patterns, areas of overlap and many other factors, we have decided that the Downtown La Plata branch will remain open and we will close the remaining four County First Bank branches effective May 4, There is a Community Bank of the Chesapeake branch in close proximity to each branch that is closing and, in many cases, more conveniently located to you. Many County First Bank branch employees are joining the Community Bank of the Chesapeake branch network team, so you will continue to see the same friendly faces who have served you well over the years and who look forward to continuing to do so. Q: When can I start going to the other bank s branches? County First Bank customers should continue to use their original branches until the completion of the systems conversion at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 7, From that point forward, you will do your banking at any Community Bank of the Chesapeake branch. Q: Will the bank be closed at all during the conversion period? Yes. The Bank will be closed from the end of business on Friday, May 4, 2018 through 9 a.m. on Monday, May 7, Q: Will the business hours at my branch change? The only branch hours that will change pertain to the Downtown La Plata County First branch, which is joining the Community Bank of the Chesapeake network. The drive thru will open at 9:00 a.m., instead of 8:30 a.m. and the lobby hours will remain the same. About Accounts Q: Will my County First Bank account numbers change? Customer account numbers are not changing at this time. If changes are needed in the future, you will receive advance notification, and we will assist you through the process. Q: Will I need to open a new account with Community Bank of the Chesapeake? No. Q: Should I continue to use my County First Bank checks and deposit slips? Yes. Q: Will I continue to receive my ACH deposits and direct deposits? Yes

15 Q: Will I continue to receive my e-statements on my accounts? Yes. Community Bank of the Chesapeake offers the convenience of free e-statements. If you prefer paper statements, there may be a fee associated. For more information, reference the account conversion charts on pages 4-5. Q: Will there be a change in the delivery of my account statements? Personal account statements close on the 20 th of each month and business statements will remain at month end. About Lending Q: How does this affect my loans? Effective May 7, 2018, loan payments will need to be mailed to Community Bank of the Chesapeake, Lending Servicing Department, PO Box 2338, Waldorf, MD While other changes are not expected at this time, we will communicate any needed as they arise. Q: Can Community Bank of the Chesapeake loan more money? With the two banks coming together, we have expanded lending capacity to serve our customers. Q: Will loan decisions still be made locally? Yes. Community Bank of the Chesapeake believes in local bankers serving local customers. About Checkcards Q: When will I receive my Community Bank of the Chesapeake MasterCard Checkcard to replace my County First Bank Checkcard? All County First Bank customers will be receiving a new Checkcard through the mail at no charge and prior to the systems conversion weekend (May 4 7). Please activate your new Community Bank of the Chesapeake Checkcard as soon as it arrives.
