2 Govt. of Assam Directorate of Horticulture and FP Khanapara, Guwahati-22 Notice inviting Quotation Memo No.Hort.FP/156/NIQ/ /133 Dated: 15 th September-2014 Sealed quotations on plain paper affixing non refundable court fee stamp of Rs.8.25 are hereby invited from reputed growers/seed producing companies for supply of recommended variety hybrid vegetable seeds (suitable for Assam condition) as per specification given in the tender papers. Interested firms may collect copy of tender papers from the office of the Undersigned upto 20 th September-2014 during office hours by paying an amount of Rs (Rs. Five hundred) in cash only. The tender papers can also be downloaded from the departmental website In that case the cost of tender papers can be paid at the time of submission of tender papers. The company can also participate in tender process but in that case only singly authorization will be accepted. The last date of submission of tenders is 26 th September-2014 upto 1.00 p.m. and will be opened on the same day at 1.30 p.m. General terms and conditions: Sd/- Director of Horticulture and FP 1 The rates should be quoted both in words and figures distinctly 2 Taxes should be shown separately 3 The rates should be valid for one year from the date of approval by the DPC or till floating the next NIT. 4 Attested copy of up to date VAT clearance certificates along with the TIN/GRN no. must be submitted along with the quotation. 5 Attested copy of VAT registration certificate must accompany the quotation 6 Attested copy of CST registration certificate must accompany the quotation 7 Attested copy of latest income tax return along with photocopy of PAN should be accompanied. 8 Attested copy of trade license from competent authority should also be submitted 9 Court fee stamp of Rs.8.25 should be attached 10 The producer/company of the seeds must have R&D facilities recognized by DSIR, Govt. of Page 2 of 7

Necessary document in this regard should be submitted 11 Product catalogue in original should be submitted 12 Detail documentary evidence establishing that the seeds to be supplied by the bidder are conforming to the required technical specification of the bidding document 13 The bidder should submit an authorization letter from the concerned company as per format annexure-a 14 The successful bidder should submit Germination Test report before supply of the seeds 15 Each quotation must be accompanied with an earnest money of Rs.2.00 lakh (Rupees two lakh) in the form of Bank Draft/fixed deposit pledged to the Director of Horticulture and FP, Assam payable at Guwahati. 16 Earnest money of the unsuccessful bidder will be returned immediately after finalization of NIT on receipt of request 17 Documentary evidence establishing the financial soundness of the bidder from the concerned bank to perform the contract 18 The bidder shall indicate on the price schedule the unit prices of the seeds it propose to supply under the contract. However, bidder may quote any of the items in the schedule and may be quote for all the items in the schedule. 19 Most of the materials will have to be supplied at the district/sub-division offices. Hence,the rates should FOR destination 20 The rates quoted by the bidder shall be fixed for the duration of the contract 21 The bid papers should be serially numbered and initialed 22 Strike-off/corrections/amendments must be signed in full by the quotationer otherwise the same may be treated as cancelled 23 Any dispute whatsoever will be subject to Guwahati jurisdiction only. 24 No advance or part payment will be made 25 The bid documents purchased from the purchaser should accompany the quotation 26 The Undersigned is not bound to accept the lowest rate and reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the quotations without assigning any reason thereof.
