The first opportunity will be on agenda items only, while the second will be for other topics. The Board requests that no complaints of a personal nature be initiated at a public meeting. Please note that the Board will be listening and taking notes, but please do not expect a response. If further action is needed from the Administration, direction will be given to follow up with the community member. Should a Board Member offer a response, that individual is speaking only for him or herself and the response should not be considered to be that of the Board. 1

5 APPROVAL ITEMS- SECRETARY S REPORT October 18, The Administration recommends the Board approve payment of the and General Fund expenditures, for September 20, 2018 to October 12, 2018, in the amount of $1,377, Please see Enclosure B1-1 and B1-2 for further details. 2. The Administration recommends the Board approve payment of the Food Service Fund expenditures, for September 1, 2018 to September 30, 2018, in the amount of $101, Please see Enclosure B2 for further details. 3. The Administration recommends the Board approve the following Activities Fund expenditures for the quarter, July 1, 2018 through September 30, 2018, in the amount of $16, Please see Enclosures B3-1 and B3-1a for further details. 4. The Administration recommends the Board approve the Real Estate exonerations and refunds for , and Per Capita exonerations for , that have been processed for the month. The Administration recommends the Board approve the following bus drivers for the school year. All paperwork has been received from Krapf Bus Company. The Administration recommends the Board approve the annual subscription agreement, with Scenario Learning, to provide Safe Schools Alert System, at a cost of $1, The Administration recommends the Board approve an additional payment to Paul Davis, in the amount of $392,017.89, for emergency mold remediation at the Eastern York Middle School to be paid from the General Operating Budget. The Board previously approved a contract with Paul Davis on an emergency basis at the August 16, 2018 meeting. 8. The Administration recommends the Board, in accordance with Public School Code Section 687 (c), reopen the General Operating Budget to make additional appropriations related to the emergency mold remediation and reconstruction at Eastern York Middle School. 9. Pursuant to School Code Section 687 (c), the Administration recommends the Board increase the final budget for the fiscal year by $1,400,000 and to approve to re-establish the final budget for the fiscal year, with total expenditures in the amount of $46,806,845. 5

Pursuant to School Code Section 687 (c), the Administration recommends the Board appropriate revenue, in the amount of $1,400,000, from the excess revenues over expenditures for the fiscal year, to cover the increase in expenditures for the school year. The Board approves to commit $1,400,000 of the fund balance for the increase in the fiscal year budget. 11. The Administration recommends the Board transfer $525,000 from the excess revenues over expenditures, for the fiscal year, to the Capital Reserve Fund. 12. The Administration recommends the final approval of Board Policy 918 Title I Parent Involvement Note: First Reading and Distribution September 20, The Administration recommends the adoption of the following Resolution: BE IT RESOLVED, that the Adjudication and Final Order of the Superintendent is affirmed by the Board of School Directors in regard to a student disciplinary hearing held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 is hereby adopted.
