1 Instructin in this article is intended t be nn-phne specific. Therefre, it speaks f functins rather than buttns and sft keys, and it will avid detailed reference t specific phne's display elements. This article's purpse is t give yu directin n hw t perfrm certain general phne peratins withut referring t the specifics f individual phne interfaces. Phnes and Call Handling Placing a Call Yu can place a call using yur phne ver the handset, speakerphne, r headset. T make a call using handset simply pick up the handset and dial the number. Yu may als be able t dial first, then pick up the handset. T make a call using the speaker phne - with the handset n hk, then press the speakerphne functin. Once yu have the dial tne, yu can then dial the number. T make a call using a headset - press the New Call functin. Once yu have the dial tne, yu can then dial the number. During a call, yu can alternate between Speakerphne, Headset, r Handset mdes by pressing the apprpriate functins r picking up the handset. T make a private call that des nt display yur caller ID infrmatin, start with *67 + the 10, r 11 digit number. The name f the called party is displayed in the active windw n the call screen. The call duratin f active calls is als visible n the call screen. Answering A Call 1. When nt in anther call, answering a call is as simple as picking up the handset, r pressing the Speakerphne functin if yu wish t cmmunicate via speaker phne, r pressing the Answer Call functin if yu wish t cmmunicate via headset. 2. When in anther call, and a call cmes in it will likely be indicated by a call waiting tne and a flashing signal n the incming call's crrespnding line key. There shuld als be incming call infrmatin n yur phne's screen. Press the Hld functin Find the incming call's crrespnding line key functin and press it. Or select the call via the phne's screen interface and press the Answer Call functin. T reject an incming call, press the Silence r Reject functin.

2 Ending A Call D ne f the fllwing: 1. If yu are using the handset, press the End Call functin r replace the handset. 2. If yu are using a headset, press the Headset functin 3. If yu're are using the speakerphne, press the Speakerphne functin 4. Press the line key assciated with the call (if this behavir has been cnfigured by yur system administratr) Redial T redial the last placed call frm yur phne, press the Redial functin. Hld During a call press the Hld functin t place the call n hld. T retrieve the call, press the Hld r Resume functin. If multiple calls are n hld, select the call yu wish t retrieve by navigating the Phne's screen r by selecting the crrespnding call's line key functin and pressing the Hld r Resume functin Frwarding a Call Call Frwarding is the phne's ability t direct a call t anther party. It cmes in tw flavrs. This feature is typically lcal t the phne and may be verridden by call server settings. Fr mre infrmatin, cntact yur system administratr. 1. Static Frwarding - Yu can cnfigure yur phne t frward all incming calls. Select the Frward functin ( r use star cde *40) If multiple lines are cnfigured fr yur phne, select r enter the line yu wish t have calls frwarded frm. Select the frwarding type: Always - All incming calls will be frwarded. ( *40 ) Busy - Frward calls that cme in while yu are in anther call. ( *41 ) N Answer - Only unanswered calls will be frwarded. ( *42 ) Enter a number fr where t frwards calls. If yu selected N Answer, then yu may als be prmpted t enter the number f rings t allw befre the call gets frwarded.

3 Dynamic Frwarding - Yu can frward calls as yur phne is ringing. When the phne rings, press the Frward functin. Enter a number fr where t frward the incming call. Press the Enable functin 2. Mre Frwarding Features Here is a list f ther frwarding star cdes ( *90 ) Activate Frward Busy ( *91 ) De-Activate Frward Busy ( *92 ) Activate Frward N Answer ( *93 ) De-Activate Frward N Answer Hw t Call Park Parking a call allws yu t put a call n a hld (Park) which allws anyne n the call netwrk t pick up the call. 1. During a call, press the Call Park functin f yur phne. ( r use star cde ***) 2. Listen fr the system t verbally annunce what park psitin the call is being placed n. 3. Instruct the party wh needs t take the call that they nw press the Call Park buttn t take the call. 4. Mre Call Park Features Here is a list f ther call park star cdes 1. ( *55 ) Retrieve a call frm a Call Park Queue Hw t Transfer Transferring a call can be dne in ne f three ways: 1. Cnsultative transfer - The party t whm yu want t transfer the call answers their phne befre yu transfer the call r hang up. Yu can cnsult with them befre cmpleting the transfer. During a call, press the Transfer functin f yur phne. ( r use star cde *98) Dial the number t which yu wish t transfer the call. Once yu hear the ring back sund r any time after the party answers, press the Transfer functin t cmplete the transfer. Yu may talk privately with the party t which yu are transferring the call prir t cmpleting the transfer. Yu may cancel the transfer at any time befre the call cnnects by accessing yur phne's Cancel functin. 2. Blind transfer - The call is autmatically transferred after yu dial the number f the party t whm yu want t transfer the call. During a call, press the Transfer functin f yur phne.

4 Press the Blind functin f yur phne. dial the number t which yu wish t transfer the call. Frm this pint, the call will be cnnected t the party t which yu are transferring. 3. Attended transfer - The parties are autmatically cnnected t each ther after yu exit the cnference. Set up a cnference call and then end yur participatin. Fr mre infrmatin, see Hw T Cnference belw 4. Mre Transfer Features Here is a list f ther transfer star cdes ( *98 ) Transfer t an Extensin ( *99 ) Transfer t Self Hw t Cnference Yu can create a cnference with ther parties using the phne s cnference functin. Yu can create a cnference at any time between an active call and a call n hld (n the same r anther line. While in a cnference, yur phne's display will be ppulated with Cnference related and functins. Setting Up a Cnference Call the first party Press the Cnference functin f yur phne The active call is placed n hld Call the secnd party When this party answers press the Cnference functin t add them t the cnference. Repeat the fllwing per persn yu wish t add t the cnference. 1. Press the Cnference functin t add anther party. All members in the cnference will be placed n hld. 2. Dial the next party member. 3. Press Cnference functin again t add them t the cnference. Cnference Management Cnference management is a capability granted t the persn setting up the cnference. With cnference management yu can view all parties in a cnference call; yu can als add, hld, remve, and mute specific cnference participants. These functins are nly available n certain phnes. T manage a cnference, yu will simply press the Manage Cnference functin f yur phne. Yur phne display will ppulate with Cnference Management related elements and functins. Add functin - use the Add functin t add members t the cnference. Once the add functin is accessed, adding members t the cnference is the same as described abve in

5 Setting Up a Cnference. Nte: The Add functin will nly be available if yu can add members t the cnference. Yur system administratr determines the maximum allwed participants in a cnference. Dial the party member Once the party answers, press the Cnference functin. Repeat fr each persn yu wish t add t the cnference. Mute functin - a muted party member can hear all parties in the cnference, and n party can hear the muted party. T mute a party, select the party and press the Mute functin. T unmute a party, select the party and press the Unmute functin. Hld functin - A party member n Hld cannt hear the cnference, nr can any parties in the cnference hear them. T put a party n Hld, select the party and press the Hld functin. T return the party t the cnference, select the party and press the Resume functin. Remve functin - Use the Remve functin t remve a party frm the cnference. Vice Call Vice call allws yu t call an extensin and it ges int speakerphne mde after ringing ne time. T use this feature, dial *50 <Then extensin number> DND (D Nt Disturb) Buttn The DND buttn will set yur phne t a silent mde and autmatically sets all calls t D Nt Answer. Please be careful when using this functin. 1. Lcate the DND buttn n yur phne. 2. Press the buttn t enable DND mde. ( r use the star cde *78 ) 3. Press the buttn again t disable DND mde. ( r use the star cde *79 )
