1 Warranty Prcedures 1 Intrductin 1.1 Scpe This dcument is intended fr Thrane & Thrane, its Service Centres and Distributin Partners. 1.2 Purpse The purpse f this dcument is t describe the warranty cnditins and related prcedures fr Thrane & Thrane prducts (all brands). 1.3 Definitins and Acrnyms Thrane & Thrane Buyer End-user Prduct Unit SN SC SC Prgram EOL 2 The Warranties Thrane & Thrane A/S, Thrane & Thrane Inc. and Thrane & Thrane representative ffices (China, Singapre, ) Thrane & Thrane Distributr, Partner, Service Centre, OEM partner r ther cmpany buying Prducts directly frm Thrane & Thrane The custmer t whm the Buyer has sld r prvided the prduct t Thrane & Thrane (all brands) prduct r unit, including accessries e.g.: antenna, electrnic unit, handset etc. Thrane & Thrane Serial Number f Prduct Thrane & Thrane Service Centre (T&T RWS (Reginal Wrkshp) and T&T OSC (On bard Service Centre)) Thrane & Thrane OSC and Thrane & Thrane RWS prgrams, as described n End Of Life - This is the dates with respect t last purchase, last time delivery, last service date etc., befre a prduct becmes bslete. EOL will be cmmunicated in a Partner Briefing. The standard warranty is defined in the Thrane & Thrane Limited Factry Warranty dcument (T&T dcument # , available n Extranet). The FLEX Warranties and Extended Warranties are defined in the relevant MSRP price lists and related Partner Briefings. 2.1 What is cvered by the Warranties The warranty cvers Prducts manufactured and/r supplied by Thrane & Thrane. All Prducts cmes with the Limited Factry Warranty as standard. FLEX-1 and FLEX-2 Warranties can be purchased tgether with the Prduct as add-n warranties t cver labur (FLEX-1) r labur and travel/mileage (FLEX-2) within certain limits. 2.2 What is nt cvered by the Warranties The warranties d nt cver: Sftware uplad, i.e. a service call that is nly t uplad a newer revisin sftware is nt cnsidered a warranty service; A warranty repair des nt include any csmetic updates;

2 In case n prblem is fund the service, despite in the warranty perid, is nt cnsidered a warranty service and is cnsequently charged at the relevant service price set frward by the service cmpany in questin; Please als nte the exclusins mentined in the Limited Factry Warranty dcument: This warranty des nt cver the fllwing: Installatin; Nrmal wear and tear; Csts related t the riginal installatin r subsequent dismantling and remval f the prduct and renewed installatin; Shipment f the equipment r travel expenses t and frm the Thrane & Thrane Service Centres; If the serial number label is missing r damaged; Any damage due t shipping; Defects directly r indirectly resulting frm: Servicing perfrmed r attempted by third party; Imprper installatin; Use utside the specificatin limits; Misuse, negligence, tampering, imprper use r accidents; Damages caused by lightning, verlad r shrt circuit; Liquids r trace f liquids r cndensatin inside a prduct nt intended fr utdr use r installatin. 2.3 Out f Bx Failure / Dead On Arrival In case a nn-cnfrmance r defect is fund during incming inspectin r when preparing the prduct fr sale r installatin, Buyer may at any time within the 24 mnths warranty perid return the entire prduct r the affected unit in its riginal packing with all accessries, manuals, certificates etc. included, and Thrane & Thrane will, at its discretin, repair r replace the prduct r unit, and return it in same shape as a new prduct frm stck/prductin and with warranty starting n date f repair/replacement, hwever maximum 3 mnths after the riginal warranty start date. In case the riginal bx are cvered with stickers nt related t the prduct r are damaged it will nt be exchange. Please make sure the riginal bx are prtected against shipping stickers r damaged frm shipping the bx t Denmark. T encurage Partners/Distributrs t check prducts when received, Thrane & Thrane will pay the freight frm Partner/Distributr t Thrane & Thrane in case the nncnfrmance/defect is fund and reprted within 2 weeks frm arrival f prducts at Partner/Distributr. Such cases must be reprted in esupprt, where a shipping authrizatin r UPS number will be issued. Then the ereprt Repair Request and RMA can be filled and dcuments printed and shipped with the prduct. Please nte that the riginal packing material must be prtected (wrapped in plastic r packed in anther bx and withut shipping labels etc.) in rder fr the riginal packing material t be cnsidered part f the Out f Bx Failure prduct.

3 2.4 Installatin reprts and warranty certificates There is n need fr installatin reprts r warranty certificates relating t the standard Limited Factry Warranty. The warranty is autmatically initiated the day the Prduct is inviced/shipped by Thrane & Thrane, and warranty status can be fund in the Warranty Checker n the Thrane & Thrane Extranet r in ereprt. Fr Extended Warranty and FLEX Warranties a Warranty Certificate will be issued. A reference t such Warranty Certificate number must be made when claiming warranty cmpensatin under the Extended and FLEX Warranties. 2.5 Warranty perid The standard perid is 24 mnths frm date f invice frm Thrane & Thrane t Buyer. If an Extended Warranty is sld, the perid can be 30, 36, 48 r 60 mnths frm date f invice fr the Prduct r frm date f installatin/cmmissining. Warranty start n date f installatin can be purchased within 30 days after installatin, hwever n later than 12 mnths after date f shipment/invice frm Thrane & Thrane. Purchase rder fr Warranty start n date f installatin must be fllwed by prf f sale/installatin, e.g. signed installatin reprt r invice with relevant Prduct infrmatin including serial number(s). The warranty perid and start date can in either case be verified in the Warranty Checker n the Thrane & Thrane Extranet using the SN as identificatin f the Prduct. 2.6 Spare parts warranty S-parts with a Thrane & Thrane Type & Serial Number label, i.e. Units, are cnsidered Prducts, and are cvered by warranty in accrdance with the Limited Factry Warranty. Warranty status can be checked in the Warranty Checker. S-parts withut Thrane & Thrane Type & Serial Number label (e.g. PCBs, mtrs etc.) are cvered by the Limited Factry Warranty fr a perid f 6 mnths frm the date it is used fr a repair, r fr the remainder f the warranty perid f the repaired Prduct, whichever is lnger. As lng as such parts are stred in its riginal packing they are cvered by the Limited Factry Warranty fr 24 mnths frm date f shipment frm Thrane & Thrane. 2.7 Repair warranty Thrane & Thrane grants, n all Thrane & Thrane and SC repairs, a 6 mnths repair warranty which cvers the cmplete Unit that was repaired, including f ther failures within the 6 mnths in that Unit. 2.8 Batteries Batteries are warranted against defects in material and wrkmanship fr the same perid as the Prduct. Hwever, depending n the use, a chargeable battery can have a significantly shrter life-time than the warranty perid, and since nrmal tear and wear is nt cvered by the warranty, a warranty claim n a chargeable battery may be rejected if the defect is deemed t be nrmal wear and tear due t the use f the battery. 2.9 Warranty cverage The fllwing warranty cverage applies fr Thrane & Thrane Prducts: Warranty repairs are dne and returned free f charge via standard transprtatin methd when the defective part r prduct is shipped - in the warranty perid - t: Thrane & Thrane A/S, Prsvej 2, DK-9200 Aalbrg SV, Denmark (the repair shall be registered in the web reprting tl, ereprt, available n Extranet), r when relevant fr the prduct t the nearest Thrane & Thrane Reginal Wrkshp (RWS).

4 All freight and frwarding csts related t shipment t Thrane & Thrane/RWS must be paid by the sender. Fr (fixed) maritime Prducts where warranty repair n bard the vessel is preferred, Thrane & Thrane OSCs can be asked t attend the vessel and d the warranty repair n bard the vessel, in principle in the same manner as the repair wuld have been dne in a RWS r Thrane & Thrane wrkshp, i.e. nce the defective Prduct and certified technician are in the same place, the warranty repair is free f charge. OSC is nt allwed t charge parts and labur fr the Thrane & Thrane warranty repair itself, nr handling fee fr parts, but OSC will charge time and csts nt cvered by the relevant Thrane & Thrane warranty.. When a FLEX Warranty is purchased fr the Prduct, the labur cmpensatin cvers all OSC s wrk required t repair the Prduct, including dismantling and re-installatin, prvided the installatin allws nrmal and safe access t the Prduct. The FLEX Warranty labur cmpensatin (flat fee) is nt limited t OSCs, and will be paid t the Partner/Distributr wh purchased the Warranty if a nn-osc cmpany des the warranty repair. An ereprt entry will be the basis fr the cmpensatin payment. Fault finding which include cnnected third party prducts e.g. systems, netwrk etc. - is nt cvered by the Thrane & Thrane warranties, hence first step in a warranty repair shuld be discnnecting all such prducts frm the Thrane & Thrane Prduct in rder t islate Thrane & Thrane Prduct failures frm ther failures. 3 The warranty prcedures 3.1 Buyer s Respnsibilities The Buyer must infrm his custmer abut the warranty cnditins, meaning the warranty issued between Buyer and End-user, fr the equipment at the time f sale f the Prduct. 3.2 Replacement f defective parts Parts listed as repairable parts will be repaired r replaced free f charge when Thrane & Thrane r a RWS receives the defective parts. Replacement fr nn repairable parts will be sent free f charge when Thrane & Thrane receives the defective part. 3.3 Shipping f repair and exchange parts t/frm Thrane & Thrane All shipment csts frm Buyer t Thrane & Thrane (Prsvej 2, DK-9200 Aalbrg, Denmark) r nearest RWS when relevant are cvered by Buyer. All shipment csts frm Thrane & Thrane r a RWS t Buyer is cvered by Thrane & Thrane. Custms and/r handling fees in the respective Buyer cuntries must be cvered by Buyer. 3.4 Service Centre Rights and Respnsibilities Service Centre means a certified service cmpany listed n the Thrane & Thrane service centre lists available n Hw t hnur a warranty Prvided the SN accrding t the Warranty Checker is in the warranty perid, SC is entitled t make the warranty repair f prducts cvered by SC s RWS/OSC Agreement, and t make the required decisins in accrdance with the Thrane & Thrane Limited Warranty n behalf f Thrane & Thrane.

5 3.4.2 Shipment and travel expenses frm/t custmers Prducts under warranty and cntained in the RWS prgram shall be dispatched freight paid t the nearest Thrane & Thrane Reginal Wrkshp (RWS) dealing with the Prduct in mentin. (see fr list f relevant prducts) RWS will arrange return shipment t Buyer n Thrane & Thrane s accunt accrding t the RWS agreement. Fr (fixed) maritime Prducts, requiring warranty service n bard, Buyer will have t pay travel expenses and/r travel time and ther csts t get technician and parts t and frm the vessel Service Reprt The SC has t fill in a service reprt fr the prduct, with all infrmatin abut the service, in the Thrane & Thrane ereprt reprting tl. A cpy f the Repair Request & RMA dcuments frm ereprt, must be attached t defective parts when returned t Thrane & Thrane. Fr n bard service a cpy f a service reprt, signed (and stamped) by the engineer/technician and the captain, must be scanned and attached t the electrnically filed reprt Cmpensatin fr warranty repair dne by SC The warranty repair will be hnured accrding t the SC agreement and fees valid at the time f repair. Unless therwise agreed t, payment will be made as a credit nte t SC s accunt. Fr Prducts under the standard Limited Factry Warranty the SC cmpensatin will cver the warranty repair itself. Any OSC csts/time nt directly related t the warranty repair as it wuld have been dne in a RWS r Thrane & Thrane wrkshp is nt cvered by the Limited Factry Warranty. Fr prducts under the FLEX-1 r FLEX-2 Warranties the labur cmpensatin will cver all wrk required t repair the Prduct, including dismantling and re-installatin, prvided the installatin allws nrmal and safe access t the Prduct. Fr prducts under the FLEX-2 warranty, Thrane & Thrane will furthermre cmpensate the SC a maximum f 2 hurs travel time at lcal travel rate and up t 150 km at EUR 0.40 per km. Fault finding which include cnnected third party prducts e.g. systems, netwrk etc. - is nt cvered by the Thrane & Thrane warranties, hence first step in a warranty repair will usually be discnnecting all such prducts frm the Thrane & Thrane Prduct in rder t islate Thrane & Thrane Prduct failures frm ther failures. 4 Supprt Prcedures All questins related t supprt f the prduct - regardless f type - between Thrane & Thrane and the Buyer must be perfrmed via the Thrane & Thrane esupprt system r T&T One Dial/Phne. 4.1 Buyer s Respnsibilities The Buyer must infrm his custmer abut the Supprt cnditins issued between the Buyer and the End-user fr the equipment at the time f sale f the Prduct.

6 4.2 Buyer s Supprt Obligatins The Buyer is t ffer 1 st line supprt twards its custmers.
