Waegele Sheronda Wesley President s Message Dear Maryland/DC/Delaware NATP Members: Our 2017 National Conference in Washington, D.C. produced a donation to local charity and satisfied our desire for education in our National Capital setting. It was a distinct pleasure to work with our members to deliver a memorable river cruise event filled to capacity. Next Year s 2018 Conference in Anaheim, CA promises to offer a great list of speakers and a possible trip to Disneyland! Mark your calendar for August 6-9, 2018 at the Anaheim Marriott. This Fall brings us the fullest lineup of Fall Education Courses that we have ever attempted. Some courses will be offered in conjunction with National Office and our local Maryland Society of Accounting and Tax Professionals partners. See a list of events in our education section. Our Annual Meeting is scheduled for December 1 during lunch for the NATP 1040 Update in Hunt Valley, MD [Embassy Suites by Hilton Baltimore Hunt Valley, 213 International Circle, Hunt Valley, Maryland, 21030, USA TEL: ]. We will also host a Members Reception and Happy Hour after class on December 1. Look for more details later this fall. Every year we have the pleasure of welcoming new committee leaders. You may participate in Chapter leadership by volunteering for a committee or Board role. We need member volunteers willing to share tax expertise and other collaborative skills in recruiting, event organizing, list marketing, social media and more. 5 Maryland Office of the Comptroller Information for Tax Professionals (incl. form updates and revisions) Tax Preparer's Web site The Comptroller's Office has developed a tax professional's online service center. Online_Services/ State regulations require that paid preparers, who prepare individual Maryland income tax returns and who are not EA, CPA, or JD designated, register with the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (DLLR), Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing. A valid Federal PTIN is the primary credential required for Maryland registration. Visit or for more information on how to register, fees or exemptions.
