1 2019 Membership Rates Rosedale Beach Club rd St Verona, PA Dear Fellow Rosedale Beach Club Members, It is time again to start thinking about next season. We had a wonderful year in We welcomed several new members to the club, continued long established traditions and ventured into new activities. Our club is stronger and healthier than it has been in the last several years. We want to continue the growth that we have enjoyed and make preparations for moving the club forward in our mission to provide the best summer fun for families from all around our area. We have been very fortunate in receiving a county grant to replace a seriously leaky pool liner. This repair should help cut down on water bills and prolong the life of the pool for years to come. Other areas, however, will require repair with club funds and they are likely to be significant associated costs. One of the largest annual costs, and the most important, is pay roll for our valuable life guards. In comparison to other pools, and in light of their vital function, our lifeguards are seriously underpaid, yet their dedication to this great club keeps them coming back. However, loyalty only goes so far, and if we expect to retain our life guards, we need to increase their pay. It has been several years since the club has seen an increase in membership rates. This year, for the 2019 season, we are raising membership rates by an average of 8% to help off-set increasing costs of operation, to help set money aside for needed repairs and to allow for a well deserved and long over due pay increase for guards and managers. So that you may be better informed of the costs of operating the club, the attached financial summery is a break down of those costs for You will notice the new rates reflected on the enclosed 2019 application. You will also notice a new mailing address. In order to save on the costs of a PO box, all mail now delivers to our physical address: rd St, Verona, For accuracy of our records, please fill out the application completely. And in the spirit of fairness, we ask that members abide by the definition of a single family. When our children grow to adults, have children of their own and live independently, it is time for the child to start buying their own family memberships. Thank you for your continued support. No Running (especially on deck, around the pool!) 2. No entrance without membership card or valid Photo ID. 3. No talking to lifeguards while they are on duty. POOL RULES 4. Obey all signs on and around pool deck. They are there for your safety. 5. Obey what the lifeguards say. 6. The slide has a height requirement of 4 Feet tall. You may not go down the slide if you do not meet this requirement. No going down on your stomach, One person down at a time. You may not catch your child coming off the slide. 7. No backwards tricks off the diving board. 8. Nobody is allowed to go off the diving board unless they have passed a deep water test. (Swimming across the deep end without help from a person, rope, or flotation device and treading water for 30 seconds.) 9. Report any incidents of fecal contamination or vomiting in and around the pool deck. 10. When Thunder is heard the water is closed for 30 minutes after each thunder and the grounds remain open. 11. When Lightning is spotted or Green Oaks/Long View whistles blow signaling lightning in the area, the grounds (including the lower pavilion), deck and water are closed for 30 minutes after each lightning strike. 12. If there is a problem, contact the manager on duty. 13. Smoking is permitted only within the smoking section as designated by signs, and 30 feet from the entrance of the pool. You are not permitted to smoke in the lower pavilion (even if rented for private party), or on pool deck, upper pavilion.
