3 Reserving your houseboat is easy. Just follow these guidelines: Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis. night minimum on all reservations. Arrivals must be on either Friday or Monday. Additional nights may be added within days of the arrival date and based on availability. Up to nights may be scheduled at any time. 4 Considering joining the Club? Here are the most frequently asked questions about the Emerald Club: Q: How many people can share a Membership? A: It is very common that multiple families, friends or business associates share the use of a Membership plan. There is no limit to the number of people named as members on the Individual Membership. Q: Is this program a Time Share? A: No, the Membership is based on an annual fee. There is no personal equity, ownership or liability assumed with joining the Emerald Houseboat Club. The Membership is valid for one calendar year beginning January and expires December, 0. Q: Is there a limit to the number of Memberships? A: Yes, this is a limited opportunity in order to maintain the integrity of the schedule. Once the limit is reached, reservations for Memberships will continue on a Wait List basis only, with first right of renewal rights given to Members in the club the previous year. Q: Are there any additional fees in addition to the Membership Fee? A: No, but a Member is responsible for fuel and houseboat pump out charges at the end of each trip as well as any charges made in the General Store. Q: If I have total days reserved already in advance, can I still use the houseboat? A: Yes, a Member may use the Club boat last minute based on availability and may reserve no more than three days in advance. Q: What happens with unused points at the end of the season? A: Points unused are forfeited at the end of the Membership term. Q: What happens if I run out of points and wish to add more? 5 General : Membership is valid for a period beginning January to December, 0. Guests must be accompanied by the member unless permission is granted in advance. Boat Captains be at least years of age to operate the boat at the time of arrival. A valid Visa or Mastercard must be furnished for the houseboat security deposit. Members and guests agree to and sign a houseboat use (Rental) agreement each trip. Members are responsible for all incidental costs including fuel consumed and houseboat pump out charges at the end of a trip. Fees and Member Accounts: A $000 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a membership and goes toward the balance of the membership annual fee. Members may make up to three additional equal installments of the annual fee. At least / of the Annual Fee is required to make initial reservations. Members have charging privileges in the Office and in the General Store. Statements are mailed on the fifth of each month. Balances are due within 0 days. Member accounts must be in good standing prior to boat use. Cancellations and Re-Booking Policy: Houseboat reservations for Members may cancel or make reservation changes within days of the reservation date without penalty. Changes or cancellation within days in advance of the reservation incur a $00 fee. Members wishing to cancel their membership may do so with written day notice. Members that cancel their membership are entitled to a refund that is equal to 0% of the remaining prorated initiation fee and less any remaining account balances. Unused points are non-refundable and are forfeited at the end of the membership term. Houseboat Boarding Times and Scheduling: Member houseboats are available: Day Weekend Trip - Board Friday at pm & am Monday return Day Weekday Trip - Board Monday at pm & am Friday return Day Trip - Board either Monday or Friday at pm & am return on the following Monday or Friday.
