3 Event Focus Delivering Europe's Future Infrastructure Needs In A New Economic Environment European and international governments have made infrastructure investment a top priority as they seek to stimulate economic growth, maintain economic competitiveness with emerging markets and provide their citizens with modern, integrated transport networks, new sources of energy and improved environmental services. However, infrastructure also requires huge, long-term capital expenditure at a time when governments have been issuing more debt to mitigate the effects of the global financial crisis. InfraWeek New For As the successor to our European PPP Infrastructure Finance Forum, Infra-Week will debate the infrastructure asset class in this context and consider the public and private funding models including PPPs that will enable projects to be delivered in the future.
