3 Insurance of clinical trials In the EU- and EWR countries clinical trials insurance is legally mandatory and an essential prerequisite for admission to the ethics committee for your clinical study. The GCP (Good Clinical Practice) calls for it globally. The clinical trials insurance protects your test persons during the entire period of study as well as extended liability period. Unexpected events can occur at any time. In the EU- and EWR countries and especially globally the laws and regulations are not uniformly regulated, considerable differences exist.
