4 OUR REGIONS AMERICAS North America With multiple offices across the U.S. and Canada, we provide expertise and support from coast to coast. Our Bermuda and London Hubs also contribute to our strong underwriting capabilities, exceptional underwriting reviews, prompt claims management, data analysis, and modelling. Aspen Re America s primary focus is U.S. based brokers and cedants who benefit from our local knowledge. We have specialized teams that support Regional and National writers for property, casualty and specialty lines. We also have property and casualty facultative teams that entertain and support individual risk and program/automatic opportunities in the U.S. and Canada. Latin America We are specialists in property, casualty and specialty treaty reinsurance. Our dedicated underwriting teams focus on proportional and excess of loss within the Latin American market, while also offering facultative capacity on an excess of loss basis across property and engineering lines. We take a customized approach to each risk and with careful selection can take on the most challenging exposures. Australia Aspen Re Australia is our dedicated reinsurance branch based in Sydney, regulated by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA). 6 EUROPE, MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA Europe From our European regional hub in Zurich we source and serve business throughout Europe with a dedicated and experienced local team of property, catastrophe, casualty, and specialty underwriters. Our multi-lingual staff focus on understanding the local conditions and environment, and provide multi-class underwriting for complex placements as well as providing capacity for large individual treaties. We are a first port of call for many partners who are based on the continent, but may buy their covers on a global basis. Africa Our core strengths include our specialized underwriting skills and capacity, coupled with an understanding of local markets. Casualty reinsurance is written on an excess of loss and proportional basis and consists of U.S. treaty, international treaty and casualty facultative reinsurance. Our facultative book is written purely on excess of loss. Our casualty treaty team operates out of our offices based in our three main regions. Agriculture Our agriculture team provides both proportional and non-proportional reinsurances to a worldwide client base. Whilst our major focus is crop reinsurance, coverage can also be provided for livestock, bloodstock, forestry, aquaculture and green-houses. Aviation & Space We provide reinsurance cover for all sectors of the worldwide aviation market from light aircraft to wide-body jets, as well as manufacturers, airports and workshops. We also provide treaty or facultative capacity for all types of space risks, including prelaunch, launch, commissioning, in orbit life and space liability. Credit, Surety & Political Risk We provide treaty and facultative reinsurance products for credit, surety and bond reinsurance or protection against political risks. Engineering & Technical Lines Our focus is on technical expertise through a proven track record in underwriting industrial and engineered business. 10 ASPEN CAPITAL MARKETS Aspen Capital Markets was established in April We develop alternative reinsurance structures to leverage our existing underwriting franchise, increase our operational flexibility in the capital markets and provide investors direct access to our underwriting expertise. We seek to build relationships with long-term asset allocators including pensions, endowments and institutions through expertly managed fund offerings. Our innovative products and structures attract third party capital and help us to broaden our service to clients.
