2 Hadeda Creek Reddam House Waterfall Estate welcomes you to the 2018 Grade 9 bonding tour. The purpose of this tour is to give new and old students the opportunity to get to know one another and to strengthen existing bonds between students. All students are expected to attend tour from Wednesday 17 th January to Friday 19 th January The venue for the Grade 9 tour is Hadeda Creek, in Parys. The Grade 9 students will be participating in a variety of fun activities that allows for personal growth and development. Experienced facilitators will be on hand the entire time and they will ensure that all activities are handled professionally and safely. The cost of this tour is R per student. Payments will be billed directly to parents school accounts over three months starting 1 October 2017 at a rate R per month. Please find all necessary indemnity forms attached to this document. Further information regarding departure times to follow in January Please ensure that all indemnity forms are completed and have been submitted to your Ms Preyser by Friday 13 October 2017! Parents please ensure that the information is given to Ms Preyser (Head of Grade 9): 1. Indemnity form is completed. 2. Copy of Medical Aid Card is provided (main member). 3. Copy of Identity Document is provided. 4. Any specific medical conditions/allergies is noted in the indemnity forms. 5. Please note on the indemnity form whether your child can swim. They offer comfortable tented accommodation with both standard and luxury tents, all are equipped with electricity, carpets and linen. 6 Grade 9 Adventure Bonding Camp Kit List (These items are a must) These are the items that you must bring to the camp. Please tick off each item as you pack. NO BEDDING REQUIRED A torch Raincoat Warm jacket and jersey Long pants Hat / Cap Sunblock / Sunscreen A water bottle Rough, old clothes 2 Pairs strong comfortable shoes (outdoor / walking / games) Bathing costume 2 Towels, swimming and bathing Toiletries Underwear, socks, T-shirts, shorts, tracksuit etc. Do not pack unnecessary clothing. (full name, surname and identity number of pupil) hereby give permission for him/her to go on the Grade 9 Bonding Tour to Hadeda Creek with Reddam House Waterfall. I understand that the staff will act in the best interest of my child and I fully understand and accept that the activities will be undertaken at my child s own risk and I undertake on behalf of myself/my executors, my spouse and my child aforesaid, to indemnify, absolve and hold blameless Reddam House and all other persons and organizations associated with the bonding tour against and from all claims whatsoever that may arise in connection with the loss of, or damage to the property, or injury to the person of my child aforesaid in the course of the excursion. 2. I accept that all reasonable precautions will be taken to ensure the safety and welfare of my child and that I shall be held responsible for the payment of medical and/or hospital accounts, where applicable, should any injury be sustained which cannot be ascribed to negligence on the part of the staff responsible. 3. I hereby delegate to the principal of the school or his representative, the power to authorize whatever treatment/surgery, he/she, in their sole discretion deem necessary should medical treatment/surgery be deemed necessary for my child. As far as I know he/she is in good health. 4.
