Overall the weather was pleasant except for the excessive wind all week and rain on the last Friday night. There was a large range of temperatures from 90 degree weather one day to capote weather another. Two of our members helped with running the competitions. James Nonose Thompson was range master for the archery competition and April Goff was assistant range master for the rifle and pistol competitions. Several of our members participated in the competitions including the cooking contest, the rifle shoot, the archery shoot, the liquid pie competition, the highland games, and several others. Congratulations to Heather Fritts and Joe Shuffield for winning the liquid pie contest. There were over 400 adults registered for the event and a large number of children. The locations for the next 2 rendezvous will be in Texas. I will post the flyer for next year in the next issue.

6 Page 6 V o l u m e 2 2, N o. 4 5 Trails Voo Report 2017 Five Trail's Rendezvous was a great success. We about 20 camps. We had young to old. Tinker and his brood had the youngest and a New camp of Rendezvous/Civil War reenactors form Texas came. They had volunteered with the Park and sat up with us as a Survey Field Office. We had quite a few camps from Texas this year. As always, we were glad to have Critter, Diane, and Bugs and Linda blessed us with their attendance this year. Jimmy Allen is always a treat to have his Native American Children's games. Miss Hattie and Nonose kept things hopping and well entertained. I want to thank Nonose for attending to the chores of wood, water, ice and coordinating the event with the park personnel. Marvin and his son along with Lori's granddaughter were entertaining playing with the wheelbarrow. We had visitors from schools in Texarkana and also set. home schoolers EARA Flags EARA Flags will be for sale at Wooly Hollow Voo. The Price will be $15 or per flag. They will be made of red medium weight broadcloth with 2 brass grommets and size = approx. 15x22 inches. We will be getting 40 flags. I do not have the exact amount yet, but I will keep the cost as low as possible and cover the expense with the sale of the flags.
