2 Treynor is participating in the 2019 Community Visioning Program. Iowa State University is gathering information from community members to learn your opinions on how to improve the community s landscape through transportation enhancements. The goal of this project is to develop a landscape plan that illustrates the vision of Treynor. Your input is an important part of this process and your ideas about community design and enhancement are valuable to the Treynor visioning committee. Join us for focus groups On 30 March 2019 at St Paul Lutheran Church, 12 Park St, Treynor 9:00 to 10:00: Older Adults 10:00 to 11:00: Steering Committee 10:00 to 11:00: Mobility Impaired 11:00 to 12:00: Actives 12:00 to 1:00: Parents and Children Interested in participating: Contact Kelly Groskurth at or Doug Wehring at At 2:00 there will be a community presentation of some of the preliminary results, everyone is welcome.
3 United States Department of the Interior NATIONAL PARK SERVICE Midwest Region 601 Riverfront Drive Omaha, Nebraska City of Treynor and Treynor KKAD25 Committee RE: Tristan s Trail: A City-Wide Walkability Improvement Project The National Park Service (NPS) is pleased to announce an award of technical assistance to the Tristan s Trail: A City-Wide Walkability Improvement Project. Assistance from the Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance (RTCA) program will be provided during the 2018 federal fiscal year, which begins October 1, 2018, and ends September 30, I will consider our working relationship to be a partnership in which I work with you, not for you (as a consultant might). NPS technical assistance is represented by the time and resources that staff invests in each project. I encourage you and your partners to use the value of my technical assistance to leverage additional project resources and as a match for non-federal grants. Volunteers are needed! Treynor has been selected for the Community Visioning Program (see previous page) and The National Park Service s Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance program. Both focus on the community (citizens) input to develop plans based from your ideas about community design and enhancement Community Visioning needs volunteers to participate in 1 hour sessions on March 30th. Please Contact Kelly Groskurth or Doug Wehring at to participate. Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance (RTCA) program volunteers needed to serve on committee to develop plans to create a walkable community. Contact Kelly Groskurth to volunteer. Help design your community!
