2 a) Since the last implementatin review missin in March/April 213, an additinal 61 km f rads have been repened by the frce accunt brigade (OdR) bringing the ttal t 636 km as n August 15, 213. The relatively slw perfrmance during this perid is due t the remedial wrks executed by the brigade based in Kalemie n certain sectins f the rad previusly repened and the nset f the rainy seasn. As a result f lengthy mbilizatin by the cntractrs, nly 56 km have been repened t cmplement the 636 km frm the OdR brigades making a ttal f km repened 3 b) Prgress f drainage and rutine maintenance crrective wrks n Natinal Rads (NR4 and NR5): These wrks, awarded t cntractrs, are prceeding well n NR4, while the U) cntractr n NR 5 is experiencing sme delays in the maintenance crrective wrks. The rad repening wrks yet cntracted n Kasmen - Kambu (63 km), and Akula - -6 Gemena - Zng (376 km) have been cmplemented by the already signed tw utput-based maintenance cntracts n Kisangani - Niania - Beni (741 km) and cntract fr the replacement f the panel bridges n Kisangani - Beni rad. The start f all these rad wrks cntracts will nw help t imprve the pace f the repening wrks. c) Maintenance wrks cntracts t be awarded t SMEs are still lagging behind schedule. The PIU has put int place an actin plan that needs t be revised t imprve the prcurement prcedures.
