2 Welcome to the First Nebraska Educators Credit Union Family! Dear GOFCU Member, It is an honor and with great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to all Greater Omaha Credit Union members. On May 13, 2015, the members of Greater Omaha Federal Credit Union (GOFCU) approved the proposed merger with First Nebraska Educators Credit Union. We are delighted to have this opportunity to offer extended financial services and convenience to help you succeed in this compe ve financial world. First Nebraska Educators has a rich history, proudly serving members since Through the years, we have worked closely to support our members while living our mission of, People Helping People, and our brand statement, Where Members Always Come First! Throughout the years, we have grown to more than $104,000,000 in assets with a capital-to-asset ra o of 17% (Compara vely, ranking us among the strongest financial ins tu ons in the Na on). In January 2015, Greater Omaha Federal Credit Union approached First Nebraska Educators Credit Union to begin a planning process for a merger of the two financially strong credit unions, in an effort to be er serve our members. You will con nue to be served by the same friendly staff, at the same loca on, in addi on to extended hours of service at First Nebraska Educators 5 loca ons in Omaha and Lincoln. The transi on is expected to be completed by October 1, While we have done our best to an cipate your ques ons, we realize that every account structure and banking rela onship is unique. Our Member Service Representa ves are here to help you through the process. We encourage you to reach out with ques ons and share your thoughts. The exis ng GOFCU branch inside CHI Hospital will maintain the same hours of opera on and friendly staff. GOFCU will become part of First Nebraska Educators Credit Union on October 1, Your credit union membership will transfer on that date. Informa onal and instruc ve mailings have been sent to GOFCU members address of record. Prior to accounts being transferred, members will receive new account numbers, new (free) checks, debit cards and new access informa on to online banking systems. Automa c debits, direct deposits and account balances will be automa cally transferred to your new First Nebraska Educators Credit Union account. All loan terms (maturi es, remaining term, payment amount, interest rate and due dates) will remain unchanged. GOFCU members will benefit from the services offered at our convenient branch loca ons in Omaha and Lincoln, and more than 65 FREE ATM loca ons.
