2 Weyakum meaning with you in Arabic, is a non-profit social enterprise with a mission to equip Emiratis (UAE Nationals) with the skills necessary to succeed in realizing their educational and professional aspirations. How We Do It? We explore and identify the interests and aspirations of Emiratis at the university level all the way through to young professionals. Whether it is helping them set up their social enterprise, join the United Nations or pursue a degree at a top notch academic institution, we offer our full support! Why We Do It? Our vision is to contribute to the UAE s efforts of creating a more diversified and competitive Emirati work force to fuel its transition to an innovative, knowledge-based and sustainable economy.

3 The Problem Did YOU know that more than half of 18 to 34 year olds say finding a job is their biggest challenge?! 57% are dissatisfied with current career counseling services 58% did not receive job application assistance 60% of employers can t find candidates with the right skills The Solution Meet the woman behind Weyakum. We ve managed to educate youth, promote innovation, provide solutions for structural unemployment and incubate social enterprises. It is up to us to create the future we want and this is what motivates me to contribute through my own efforts at Weyakum.

4 Weyakum Services Our services are aimed at understanding the educational and/or career aspirations of Emiratis and equipping them with the skills necessary to succeed! These include: We ve worked with over 300 Emiratis across the UAE!

5 Weyakum s Impact We worked with several Emiratis on their graduate school applications Yousef Al Eghfeli, Columbia University We had the pleasure of working with Yousef Al Eghfeli on his Masters in Public Administration application to the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, New York. And here he is, standing proud and about to begin his 2015 academic year! Today Yousef is back in Abu Dhabi, pursuing his career aspirations. Noura Al Kaabi, University College London We had the pleasure of working with Noura Al Kaabi on her masters applications. In 2016 she was accepted to the MSc in Economic and Policy of Energy and Environment Programme at University College London. Today Noura has graduated and is excited to start her dream job!

6 Social Entrepreneurs we supported. Weyakum s Impact We created history by getting the first Emiratis to ever apply to the United Nations Young Professional Programme! Our nation wide United Nations YPP training sessions equip Emiratis with lifelong skills that they can use when applying to any job! 40% F 76% years old 38% years old M 24% 21% % years old We worked with Kalimati to transition the organization from a charity that is dependent on grants to a social business. Today, Kalimati Speech and Communications Center is the first of its kind to serve children with hearing disabilities in the UAE. We helped set up ENABLE as a self-sustaining social enterprise, graduating it from its original CSR programme. We introduced Enable to Jumeirah at Etihad Towers and now you can find Enable products which have been created by special Emirati stars, at the hotel! M 24% Dubai 42 Emiratis were interested in applying Abu Dhabi 14 fit the criteria and applied Sharjah 6 were convoked for the written exam Weyakum Emirati Stars We re shining the light on successful Emiratis under 40 because we want YOU to hear all about their achievements! In 2015+, Weyakum (with YOU), together we managed to more than double the numbers! F 89% M 11% 100 Emiratis were interested in applying 28 fit the criteria and applied 13 were convoked for the written exam

10 Promoting Tolerance The idea of this project was to promote tolerance in communities by showcasing how people from over 200 nationalities live in harmony in the UAE regardless of race, religion or ethnicity. United in Knowledge, UAE Vision 2021 The project was in collaboration with Global Shapers Abu Dhabi, an initiative of the World Economic Forum and twofour54.
