5 UKTI SUPPORTED ACTIVITIES Explore the Danish Offshore Wind Supply Chain Offshore Wind Denmark is pleased to offer a 4-day business delegation tour with a series of company visits and networking opportunities in the days leading up to EWEA Offshore 2015 in Copenhagen. The global business delegation visits focus on fact-finding and networking with Danish companies and investment opportunities in Denmark. The event is a unique way to experience the Danish supply chain first hand. The very first offshore wind farm in the world was installed in 1991 in Denmark. Since then Denmark has been world leading in offshore wind and there is Danish DNA in almost all offshore wind farms throughout the world. The purpose of the visits is to meet interesting stakeholders within the Danish industry, to create business opportunities and learn more about the Danish way. Please note that there are limited seats available at the global business delegation tours and registration is on first served basis for all participants Time and place The global delegation tour is a 4-day event which takes place from 5-9 March (Sunday, 8 March is a day off) across Denmark, leading up EWEA Offshore 2015 which takes place March in Copenhagen. The bus tour is open for all participants, from all countries. There are three offshore wind themes to choose from each represented by a bus that will take you around Denmark and visit some of the most influential Danish companies and regions in wind power. Before signing up to join the delegation tour, you will need to choose one of the three themes to follow during the 4 days. Regardless of the theme you pick, both foreign and Danish participants will meet on specific destinations for joint activities. Choose from these three tours Red bus: Large components & test facilities Blue bus: Subsea, installation & infrastructure Green bus: O&M, clustering & job creation Some of the Danish companies you will be able to visit are: Siemens Wind Power, LM Wind Power, A2Sea, Øglænd Systems, MHI Vestas Offshore Wind, Global Lightening etc. As we move closer to the event, additional wind energy suppliers will be added to the tour, and many other Danish companies will be joining you on the 4-day bus tour. Please be aware that in case of conflict of interests at one of the company visits, we will suggest alternative meetings instead. 5
6 Price The global business delegation visits and bus tours are free of charge but by invitation only. Please contact us to learn how you can obtain an invitation. Traveling costs to and from Denmark and hotel accommodations during this 4 day-event are at your own expense. The Danish Wind Industry Association will arrange hotel booking for you from 4-10 March. The price is approx. 1,000 EURO for all 5 nights.
