1 January 3, 2019 Dear Friends, I just received the flyers for our Branson, MO Trip and wanted to get them into your hands as quickly as possible. We currently have a number of seats available, so if you know of anyone interested please have them contact Kim or me in the office. Please note the dates that your money is due. Since the trip is in May, we need to start collecting money as soon as possible. The dates for our trip are May 25 (Saturday) to June 2 (Sunday). We have enclosed an enrollment form for you to fill out and return with your first payment (see below). I have also included a flyer concerning the trip to remind you of some of the details about the trip. Although this is my first trip as Director of Senior Adults, our guidelines remain the same as before. This trip is sponsored by Old Fort Baptist Church which means we operate differently than on other trips you might have traveled. We need to be the best example of Christ, Old Fort Baptist Church and as individuals that we can be. Therefore, I have a few policies that are different and these differences may determine if you choose to travel with us. 1. We will be traveling parts of 2 days to reach Branson and 3 days to return home. We make regular stops, but, if you have trouble with your back, legs or sitting for a long period of time, you may want to consider closely the travel. My concern is that you enjoy the trip. 2. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the trip, including wine. You can drink what you like in your room at night, although I wouldn t recommend it, as long as it doesn t affect the next day. 3. There is no smoking on the bus and our rooms are non-smoking. Even if you only smoke during stops, the odor will make the trip miserable. Also, be sure not to overuse colognes or perfumes. There are those who might be allergic to them. 4. All roommates must be married, related or of the same sex. This arrangement reflects our Biblical values and is not subject to change. 5. 2 6. Good travelers have good attitudes. A complaining spirit will ruin the trip for everyone within earshot. If your best response is to complain (or use profanity of any type), then I would encourage you to wait and go with another group. 7. If you would like insurance for the trip, please note the information on the back of the flyer. The cost is $69.00 per person for doubles and triples, $94.00 for singles (checks should be made out to Travel Insured International) and should be turned in with your first payment.. See the chart below for costs and deadlines.
