3 SMPS San Antni Open Bard Psitins and Descriptins September 2015 August 2016 President-Elect 1 Year Term The President-Elect stands ready t fill in fr the President in their absence. In additin, the President-Elect shall have all the pwers and be subject t the same restrictins as the President. The President-Elect assists the President in verseeing the bard and serves as an additinal resurce fr all psitins and cmmittees. The President Elect must have served n the Bard previusly. Als, the President- Elect is charged with verseeing the Chapter s mnthly lunchens and Owner s Breakfasts. Attends all mnthly bard meetings and mnthly lunchen prgrams. A maximum f tw (2) bard meetings may be excused due t unfreseen circumstances. Shuld the President-Elect miss mre than tw (2) meetings, they may be remved frm the Bard. Attends the SMPS Chapter Presidents Leadership Sympsium (PLS) each spring and participates in scheduled webinars prir t PLS, if applicable (expenses fr PLS are paid by chapter, in additin t stipend received frm Natinal). Attends Natinal Cnference (expenses will be paid by the Chapter t include nly cnference registratin. All ther expenses are the respnsibility f the President-Elect). DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES Drafts a cnceptual plan fr upcming year Recruits Chair and versees the Prgrams Cmmittee, which executes mnthly lunchens. The President-Elect versees the fllwing, which is develped in cnjunctin with Prgrams Chair: Drafts a cnceptual plan f prgramming initiatives fr the upcming year (shuld have an idea f prgrams fr the year prir t bard retreat) Drafts a budget fr prgramming fr entire year (shuld include if applicable, cst f venue, fd, AV equipment, parking, speaker fees, charity cntributins, etc) Crdinates and develps tpic fr all mnthly lunchen prgrams Secures lcatin, speakers, fd, handuts, audi-visual as needed fr each lunchen Respnsible fr retrieving bi and headsht frm speaker. Stays in cmmunicatin with scheduled speaker(s) n a regular basis t ensure their cntinued availability, any audi-visual (AV) requirements, etc.

5 Treasurer 2 Year Term The Treasurer shall versee the financial integrity f the chapter. The Treasurer shall handle banking tasks and, in general, perfrm all duties incident t the ffice f Treasurer and such ther duties that may be assigned by the President r the Bard. Attends all mnthly bard meetings and mnthly lunchen prgrams. A maximum f tw (2) bard meetings may be excused due t unfreseen circumstances. Shuld the Treasurer miss mre than tw (2) meetings, they may be remved frm the Bard. Checks fr payment/reimbursement require a cmpleted expense reprt and riginal r cpies f receipts. Treasurer is respnsible fr all depsits made t accunt Maintains/hlds keys t Chapter PO Bx Chapter funds are t never be depsited int persnal bank accunts Any funds received n-site at chapter events shuld be handled by Treasurer, unless therwise agreed upn Treasurer is respnsible fr Chapter checkbk The nly individual with access t the Chapter bank card is the President. President signs all checks, and any check in an amunt ver $1,000 requires the c-signature f the President-Elect (excluding prgrams). DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Keeps track f verall budget (including bard member budgets) and updates Bard regularly Handles all banking tasks. 8 Cmmunicatins Directr 1 Year Term The Cmmunicatin Directr is respnsible fr all cmmunicatin with the SMPS San Antni distributin list including creating, maintaining and distributing all meeting invitatins, signage, website, cllateral material and direct mail. Attends all mnthly bard meetings and mnthly lunchen prgrams. A maximum f tw (2) bard meetings may be excused due t unfreseen circumstances. Shuld the Cmmunicatins Directr miss mre than tw (2) meetings, they may be remved frm the Bard. Ensures prper lgs are used n all print and web material Wrks clsely with cmmittees t btain accurate infrmatin in a timely manner fr all annuncements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Creates and distributes all weekly e-blasts and ther infrmatin as needed and requested (must be prficient with graphics sftware i.e. Illustratr, Phtshp, InDesign, etc.) Wrks with Prgrams Chair t btain bi and headsht f speaker(s) and invitatin write up each mnth. Maintains the recipient list fr SMPS San Antni crrespndence Makes any changes t the website Creates any signage r cllateral material as needed fr meetings Sends ut press releases as requested Creates and distributes newsletters Adds events t Natinal SMPS calendar The Cmmunicatins Directr has a cmmittee t assist in carrying ut his r her duties and respnsibilities.

9 Educatin Directr 1 Year Term The Educatin Directr is respnsible fr planning and executing educatinal prgrams thrughut the year. Attends all mnthly bard meetings and mnthly lunchen prgrams. A maximum f tw (2) bard meetings may be excused due t unfreseen circumstances. Shuld the Educatin Directr miss mre than tw (2) meetings, they may be remved frm the Bard. Attends all mnthly bard meetings and mnthly lunchen prgrams. A maximum f tw (2) bard meetings may be excused due t unfreseen circumstances. Shuld the Spnsrship Directr miss mre than tw (2) meetings, they may be remved frm the Bard. A call fr spnsr is sent via t the Chapter mailing list. Spnsrs are awarded n a first-cme first-serve basis. Spnsrships are t be paid within 30 days f signing agreement (cmmunicatin with Treasurer regarding this matter is crucial) Spnsrship Opprtunities include: Annual Presenting, Platinum, Annual Educatin, Annual Student Chapter, Lunch, Scial, and Owners Breakfast.
