9 BisB Prepaid Card Terms and Cnditins Bank: Bahrain Islamic Bank B.S.C. Card: the Visa Prepaid Card issued by the Bank t a Cardhlder. Cardhlder: the persn that the Bank issues the Card in His / Her name. Card Accunt: the accunt pened with the Bank in the name f the Cardhlder in accrdance with these Terms and Cnditins. Available Funds: the net debit amunt available in the Card Accunt. Card Transactin: the purchase f gds and services including but nt limited t, Pint f Sale (P.O.S.) transactins, ATM withdrawals, nline and telephne transactins. PIN: the Persnal ldentificatin Number issued by the Bank fr the Card. Validity Perid: the perid fr which the Card is valid as determined by the Bank. ebanking: the Bank s electrnic services prvided at 2. Use f the Card Only the designated Cardhlder, whse name appears n the face f the Card, and the authrized persns, may use the Card. If the Card Number and/r PIN became knwn t any unauthrized persn, the Cardhlder shall immediately ntify the Bank s Card Centre by calling (+973) Any ntice given t the Bank shall be fllwed by a cnfirmatin f such ntice t be sent by fax transmissin within seven days frm the date f ntificatin t (+973) r by mail t P.O. Bx 5240, Manama, Kingdm f Bahrain If this ntificatin is given rally, it shall nt be effective unless cnfirmed in writing t the Bank at the abve mentined address within a maximum f seven days frm the date f ntificatin. Until the Bank receives a written ntificatin, the Cardhlder will be liable in respect f any use f the Card during this perid f lss r theft. 4. Card Accunt The Bank will pen and maintain a Card Accunt fr the Cardhlder which enables him/her t depsit the amunts t be used. Any lss incurred by the Bank arising frm the use f the Card will als be charged t this accunt. The Bank will directly charge t such Card Accunt the amunts f all purchases f gds and services r cash withdrawals by use f the Card where any merchant in the curse f a Card Transactin seeks an authrizatin frm the Bank, the amunt f such Card Transactin will reduce the amunt f the Available Funds in the Card Accunt. The amunt f any Card Transactin in a currency ther than BHD will be cnverted int the Card Currency at the prevailing rates f exchange (as specified by the Bank and the Visa lnternatinal) n the date when such amunts are charged t the Card Accunt. The Bank reserves the right t charge a mark up n the currency exchange, as specified by the Bank. If the merchant refunds the Bank the value f the service r merchandise prvided t the Cardhlder, the Bank shall credit such value t the Card Accunt upn receipt theref. The Cardhlder may btain a detailed statement f accunt shwing the transactins that tk place with the Card by lgging t the Bank s ebanking Prtal at The statement f accunt shall be cnsidered as accepted by the Cardhlder if he/she des nt bject theret within the specified duratin f 15 days frm the date f the statement. 10 5. Fees and Charges The card will be subject t the fllwing fees and charges, where applicable: Card issuing fees: nce at the pening f the Card Accunt and issuing the Card. Debit balance retrieval charges thrugh any accunt transfer r the issuance f a manager cheque. Card replacement fees. PIN replacement fees. Statement cpy fees. The Bank annunces and declares the fees and charges f its services at and branches as it deems best. The Bank reserves the right t determine, add, waive r vary the fees and charges as per its sle discretin and ntify the Cardhlder by any means the Bank finds sufficient Suspensin r Cancellatin f the Card The Card remains the prperty f the Bank at all times. On request, all and any Card issued fr use n the Card Accunt must be returned immediately t the Bank. The Bank may at any time suspend r cancel the right f the Cardhlder t use the Card that is issued t him/her n temprary r permanent basis withut any ntice, if he/she fails t satisfy his/her bligatins under these Terms and Cnditins r any attachments theret r under any ther agreements r amendments, and/r if he/she defaults in the payment f the amunts as they fall due. Accrdingly, the Card Accunt shall be autmatically terminated and the Cardhlder shall hand ver the Card t the Bank and refrain abslutely and immediately frm using the Card. Such cancellatin shall nt abslve the Cardhlder frm his/her liabilities and bligatins twards the Bank. 7. Terminatin The Cardhlder may terminate the Card Accunt by a written ntice t the Bank but such terminatin shall nly be in effect upn return f the Card t the Bank and the full settlement f all the liabilities f the Cardhlder t the Bank. Until such terminatin, the Bank may reissue Cards where applicable fr use in accrdance with these Terms and Cnditins. Prir t leaving the Kingdm f Bahrain permanently, the Cardhlder shall return t the Bank the Card issued by the Bank t the Cardhlder. 8. General Prvisins The Bank will nt be liable if the Cardhlder was nt able t use the Card due t the failure f (directly r indirectly) any machine, data prcessing system, transmissin link, industrial dispute r anything beynd the Bank's cntrl. The Cardhlder shall immediately ntify the Bank f any change f his/her name, cntact number and address. In case any merchant refuses t accept the Card, the Bank shall nt be respnsible fr such refusal in any means whatsever. The Bank shall nt be liable in any manner whatsever fr any difference that may arise between any merchant and. the Cardhlder cncerning a Card Transactin that is the subject f payment. 9. Applicable Law These Terms and Cnditins shall be gverned by, and cnstrued in accrdance with, the applicable laws f the Kingdm f Bahrain unless such laws cnflict with the prvisins f the lslamic Sharia, a as adpted by the Bank, s Sharia a Bard in which case the latter shall prevail. In the case f either a claim by the Bank against the Cardhlder r a dispute between the Bank and the Cardhlder, the Cardhlder agrees t irrevcably submit t the nn-exclusive jurisdictin f the curts f the Kingdm f Bahrain. 10. Variatin f these Terms and Cnditins The Bank reserves its right t amend these Terms and Cnditins at any time. The Bank shall ntify the Cardhlder regarding any amendment by any means the Bank finds sufficient and as per its sle discretin. Cntinuatin f using the Card by the Cardhlder after the ntificatin shall be cnceded as an acceptance f these amendments. In the case f cnflict between the English and Arabic versins f these Terms and Cnditins, the latter shall prevail
