Please advise if the City [sic] (Newport News Public Schools) is now going to pay for uninsured employees. Response: NNPS will consider paying for both insured and uninsured employees if the bid pricing quoted is acceptable. As such, an additional column has been added to the pricing schedule. Please see Addendum 1 Attachment A. Revised bid response form (Attachment A) is attached. 2. Item 18 of Section B is revised to read: 18. If NNPS opts to have employee insurance billed, then the Contractor shall direct bill employee insurance companies. 3. How many uninsured employees are there? Response: NNPS does not have visibility of uninsured employees. Those employees who are not covered by the NNPS health insurance plans may have coverage through spouse or military insurance plans.
