S&P says Egypt outlook revised to positive on rising reserves and strengthening economic growth; B-/B ratings affirmed. The outlook reflects potential upgrade over next year if Egypt continues to implement reforms to support investment, growth as foreign exchange reserves continue to rise, while economic growth is strengthening. The payment, still subject to IMF executive board approval, will bring total disbursements under the program to about $6 billion. Oil companies including Royal Dutch Shell, Chevron and ExxonMobil, operate in Nigeria through joint ventures with NNPC. The government has considered selling stakes in these joint ventures for more than a decade.
