SCOPE: The City of Coral Springs is interested in obtaining firm bids for the sale of surplus items as detailed below: See Bid Sheet for Description of Surplussed Items. 2. SUBMISSION OF BIDS: HOW, WHEN AND WHERE: Sealed bids will be received by the Purchasing Division of City of Coral Springs until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 14, All bids, either mailed or walked in, will be received at the Purchasing Division, located at 9551 West Sample Road, Coral Springs, Florida, The bid envelope should be marked on the outside as follows: 1. Name of Bidder 2. Bid for Sale of Surplus Miscellaneous Equipment & Vehicles 3. Due: January 14, 2015, 2:00 p.m. 3. FURTHER INFORMATION: Bidders requiring additional information may contact the City of Coral Springs, Purchasing Division, Tim Planco, Central Stores Coordinator, telephone (954) The various items may be inspected by appointment only between the hours of 9.00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday (excluding holidays). Please contact Tim Planco, Central Stores Coordinator at (954) to schedule an appointment. 4. CONDITION OF SALE: All items are offered for sale on an "as is" basis and the City offers no guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied, as to the operational or physical condition of the items. The cost of the removal of the items from the City premises is to be borne by the successful bidder. 5. BASIS OF AWARD: Award will be based on the highest bid. The City reserves the right to waive technicalities and irregularities, and accept the bid deemed most advantageous, or to reject any or all bids. 6. TERMS OF SALE: The amount due from the successful bidder must be paid in full by cash or cashier's check only made payable to the "City of Coral Springs" within seven (7) calendar days following written notification of award.

2 Note: Amounts over 1, must be paid via cashier s check. Notification of award will contain instructions as to submission of amount due. Acknowledgment of receipt of amount due will be sent to successful bidder by the Purchasing Division. This acknowledgment will serve as notice to release the property. Removal of property must be completed within the time frame indicated below or date agreed upon between bidder and City. Note: 1. If the successful bidder fails to make payment and/or remove item(s) within 15 calendar days from date of notification of award, the City reserves the right to dispose of the item(s) and the bidder will forfeit any monies paid to the City. 2. All vendors awarded surplus vehicles and equipment that require titles, please call for an appointment to pay for these items and to ensure that City staff will be available to sign titles and bills of sale. 3. All awarded items are to be picked up only between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). 7. SALES TAX: State of Florida sales tax in the amount of 6% will be collected on all non-vehicular items, unless a Sales Tax Exempt Certificate or Resale Certificate is presented. Titled Vehicles: Tax will be paid at time of title transfer. 8. OTHER CONDITIONS: Bidder may not withdraw his/her bid for a period of ninety (90) days after due date. Withdrawal of bid after this period must be in the form of a written notification to the Purchasing Administrator, and can be submitted only if an award of contract has not been made within this ninety (90) day time period. 9.
