5 Introduction This documents the Banner California Community College Baseline (CALB) release, which includes the following enhancements: Pay Rate Override enhancement Supplemental Payroll Data enhancement This also include problem resolutions. Special installation note If the Database Extension Utility (DBEU) was run against the payroll schema before the installation of CALB HR 8.2.2, you must run the DBEU again against the payroll schema after the installation of CALB HR is complete. Cumulative documentation This document provides detailed information about the CALBHR release only. CALBHR is a cumulative release that also includes problem resolutions delivered in the patch releases, as shown in the following table. For complete documentation about the patch releases, refer to the documentation that was issued with them. Problem resolutions for these patches are included in this for your convenience. 7 Pay Rate Override Enhancement The Pay Rate Override enhancement allows you to report member pay rates that might be different from the standard pay rate. For example, if an employee normally works 37.5 hours per week, the monthly pay rate stored in NBRJOBS needs to be prorated to show the monthly pay rate at 40 hours per week. Time Processing Report (PHPTIME) This process was changed to populate the new phrjobs_pers_pay_rate_over column with the NBRJOBS pay rate override value (nbrjobs_pers_pay_rate_over) where it exists. CalPERS Report C3SC (PVRPERS) This process was changed to consider the new phrjobs_pers_pay_rate_over column during processing. Mass Salary Table Update Report (NBPMASS) This process was changed to populate the existing value in the nbrjobs_pers_pay_rate_over column in new records when the process is run with the Process parameter set to J (Process - Update Jobs [Salary]). 11 Supplemental Payroll Data Enhancement With this enhancement, you can now include supplemental payroll data in your CalPERS report when earnings and hours are reportable. A supplemental payroll can occur where PERS reportable earnings, contributions, and hours will need to be reported. The criteria for selection is the same for the regular payroll regarding earning codes being pensionable, the deduction not being excluded from the job or the pay ID, and so on. The data might be the same regarding pay rate and so on, but it is more likely that it will have different earnings, different earn codes. For some supplemental payrolls, none of the earnings would qualify, and therefore should not be reported. When there are reportable earnings and hours, the process reports this data.
