Alternatively, the MS sfjord takes you right along Norway s breathtaking west coast. The flexible and low-cost way to travel to Norway: Fjord Line operates a flexible pricing system whereby prices depend on the time of booking, capacity available on board the ship and date of travel. Those who book early and avoid travelling at peak times usually manage to get the best price. The lowest fares are often before or after peak travel dates, so that with a little flexibility when choosing your travel dates, you can often save enough money to be able to afford an additional overnight stay and thus make the most of an extra day s holiday in Norway. 3 What else you should know Bookings: A booking fee of approx. 16 (NOK 125) will apply to all bookings made by phone (credit card payment only) or in writing to the office of Fjord Line GmbH. The person making the booking must provide all necessary details, e.g. the name and date of birth of all passengers travelling, nationality and vehicle registration number. Furthermore, no bookings can be made without providing a phone number (preferably a mobile number so we can inform you by SMS of any last-minute changes, e.g. major delays). Prices: Our prices may differ depending on time of travel. To get the latest prices, visit or contact your travel agent or tour operator. Our car package prices are per car up to 4.5 m long and 2 m high and 1 2 or 3 5 people in off-peak seasons, or 1 5 people in the peak season. Prices are valid for a single journey. Taxes, fees and cabin surcharges are charged separately. If your vehicle exceeds these measurements, the appropriate surcharges will apply. Cabin prices are valid all year round and are not subject to the flexible pricing system, but may change as a result of changes in exchange rates. Don t waste time the earlier you book the more likely you are to get a good price. Amendments/cancellations: If you would like to amend a booking, you will be required to pay any difference between the original price and the fare applicable on the day you make the amendment, plus any ticket amendment fees. Cancellations will be charged in accordance with the terms and conditions of the ticket booked. Please also note the differences between the and ticket. Pets: Pets, e.g. dogs, must be booked in advance and kept in the vehicle on car deck or booked into in our kennels (only available on the MS sfjord) throughout the crossing. Animals may not be brought into the cabins, public areas, restaurants or other facilities. An appropriate fee of 6 (NOK 50) per crossing will apply. Smoking: Smoking is only permitted on board in specified areas. MS sfjord Cabins: Please be aware that the number of two-berth cabins (interior and exterior) is limited. Four-berth cabins may not be booked for 1 or 2 people. Prices are calculated per cabin. Cots (for babies up to one year) must be booked well in advance and are only available in cabins FC/L2D/L2T/H4 and N2. Meals: On board the MS sfjord you will find the buffet restaurant Lehmkuhl, the pizzeria Little Italy, the bistro Nautilus and the Fisherman s Pub. Vouchers for the buffet restaurant Lehmkuhl can be obtained in advance. Table reservations for the dinner buffet must be made on board. The consumption of food and drink not bought on the premises is prohibited in the restaurants, bar and nightclub. Fjord Line Express First in, first out service: Our first in, first out service is included in the price of a ticket. This service ensures that you are one of the first to board the ship and the first to disembark at your destination. Meals: Our buffet service can be boked in advance when travelling on board the Fjord Line Express. Depending on the time of departure, breakfast, lunch or dinner will be served. There s also a café and kiosk service on board. If fishing is a religion then Fjord Norway is the Holy Land! Parking on the Fjord Line Express: Buses and cars with trailers are reverse parked onto the ship. Cars are turned on board, in order to be able to drive straight off at their destination. 6 Information on sailing with Fjord Line Besides our flexible pricing system, we also offer two types of tickets with various benefits. The ticket is the cheaper option whilst the ticket offers you greater flexibility towards amending your ticket. We have listed the differences here. Prices are listed in Norwegian kroner and may change as a result of changes in exchange rates. ticket: Payment is due immediately after booking. Cancellation of a crossing is free of charge, if made within 24 hours of booking. No refunds will be given for cancellations after this time. If the fare applicable on the day of an amendment is lower than the original price, no refund will be given. If the fare applicable on the day of amendment is higher than the original price, e.g. augmented by excess height/length, the additional cost will be due for payment immediately. Bookings can be amended for a fee. This fee is payable, irrespective of the new price.
