Failure to do so will disqualify the bids.*** This Addendum consists of (6) changes or clarifications to Bid: 1. Regarding Question No. 5 of Addendum No. 3, the answer to the question is revised as follows: a. (Q) Will contracts be awarded based on mowing, bush hogging, landscape maintenance, mulching or a combination of these services? b. Contracts will be awarded to the lowest responsible Base Bidder and as indicated in the Lawn Maintenance Services, Specifications and Bid Package, Section , Part 11 Award or Rejection of Bids. At the discretion of the Owner, Alternates #1 and #2 may be considered in the decision to award contracts. 2. (Q) Is there an opportunity to adjust contract pricing on a year to year basis based on a significant change in acreage or the cost of gasoline? a. Yes. At each one year anniversary of this contract, the Owner or Contractor may submit a request to adjust the annual cost for each District based on any area acreage adjustments and any change in the cost of gasoline. The Contractor must produce objective substantiation, including the annual change in gasoline prices based on annual data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Price Index Average Price Data (US Average Gasoline, unleaded regular, per gallon (see 3. (Q) If a single contractor is lowest responsible bidder for more than three (3) districts, how will CCS determine which three (3) districts will be awarded to the bidder and how will CCS determine how to award the remaining districts such contractor was low bidder? a. The Owner will exercise its discretionary right to award the districts for reasons it deems are for the good of the public or in the interest of the public s welfare. Regarding Lawn Maintenance Services, Specifications and Bid Package, Section Detailed Specifications, Cancellations/Option for Termination page 19 of 41: Delete the third sentence that reads: Either party has the right to terminate this agreement by providing sixty (60) days written notice by registered or certified mail to the other party and replace with the following: The Owner may, at any time, terminate the contract for the Owner s convenience and without cause.
