High brand equity in the market (Abacus has been the largest distributor in Uganda with over 22 years experience) 3. Distribution support o Abacus Pharma Ltd (sister company)helps in 36% of distribution in 5 countries with 19 branches in Uganda, 5 Branches in Tanzania, 3 Branches in Bujumbura, 1 branch each in Rwanda and Kenya. o Marketing and promotion team throughout the East African region(5 countries) With us Life Always gets Better 7

Domestic Government Support o No import duty and VAT for local manufacturing o 10% additional NDA verification fee for competing imported 7 products (of APDL: D5, D50, NS, RL, ABAGYL, ABTOL 20% & CIFIN) if imported by others (to protect local manufacturers). An additional increase of up to 25% is under discussion. o Govt. of Uganda (NMS tenders) giving preference to local manufacturers by an additional 15% price preference and BUBU policy(buy Uganda, Build Uganda) o VAT refund for raw materials o 10 years tax holiday for APDL ending in Carried forward losses can be used indefinitely. 13 STRATEGIES FOR GROWTH 1. Optimize Product Mix By 2022 the LVP 500ml contribution will decline to 44% of revenue. The high margin LVP 100ml will grow from 15% in 2018 to 23% in 2022 of total turnover. The high value- high margin EEN products will grow from 17% in 2018 to 28% in 2022 of total turnover.
