Proposed Technical Specification for new improved Energy Efficient FRP Fan Blade assembly required is below: The party has to supply the new latest improved energy efficient FRP fan Blade assembly of 24 Feet (288 ) dia mounted on gear box as mentioned above. Mat of Construction Fan Blade : Hollow / solid aerodynamically designed axial flow with aerofoil section with fiber glass high grade epoxy resin to withstand the effects of steady & fluctuating loads with sufficient factor of safety. Fan blade & hub assembly will be dynamically balanced with in permissible limits as per ISO standards 1940 (grade 6.3). All FRP blades will be statically balanced forming moment in pair.

10 These Fan blades are designed to resistance to weather, ultraviolet degradation. Each blade will be painted with anti corrosive epoxy paint & extra coating will be provided at the leading edge to prevent erosion while in operation in hot & humid atmosphere of cooling tower. The party has to attach the following along with the offer for technical evaluation of offer a) Technical brochure including drawing (G A Drawing & cross sectional Drawing) showing all details regarding fan blade assembly. b) Performance Curves for the offered fan assembly. 1) Pressure Vs Air Flow 2) Fan Power Vs Air Flow 3) Efficiency Vs Air Flow 4) Torque Vs Speed. c) The party has to attach the details of savings in terms of (Rs) & Pay back period calculation due to power reduction & increase in the flow of air handled. Party s scope of work: 1: Job includes performance evaluation by measuring following parameters with existing FRP Fan Air Flow / Velocity of air. Blade Angle & RPM Power Consumption at motor terminals & feeder panel These tests will be carried out as per Cooling Technology Institute (USA) code for Field Performance Test of Cooling Tower Fans. All the testing instruments (anemometer, energy meter etc) required for measuring above parameters will be arranged by the party. The party has show al the calibration certificates of all the instruments before test. 2: Removal of the existing fan assembly as per instruction of Gail after taking above field readings & carrying out the installation & commissioning of newly supplied FRP Fan blades. The party has to carry out performance evaluation test for newly installed Fan assembly. 3: The party has to show the improvement in the terms of Increase in the air flow at same power consumption of existing fan after replacement existing fan blade assembly. Reduction in power consumption at the same operating duty conditions. 4: Gail shall provide all the unskilled manpower assistance for removal of existing FRP fan blade assembly & installation, testing of new FRP fan blade assembly, all measurement of field performance test in co-ordination with your site engineer who will be deputed at site for the job, however an skilled labors (if required) for the said job will be in the scope of party. 5: Gail shall provide all general purpose tools & tackles, consumables, or any miscellaneous materials which are required for completion & commissioning job. However if any special tool is required for fixing axial flow FRP Fan blade assembly in cooling tower will be brought by party. 6: Any other job required to complete the job which are not specifically mentioned but required to complete the work in totality will be in the party s scope.

11 7: The party shall make its own boarding & lodging arrangements, to & fro & also bear all incidental charges for erection & commissioning engineer. In case of availability, the party may avail the guest house facilities on chargeable basis as applicable from time to time. 8: The party may visit the site before quoting for better understanding of requirement & scope of work. Party s Scope of supply Supply of new energy efficient FRP Fan Blade assy as per specification above mentioned. Special tools required for above said job. All special Personal Protective Equipments required. 1: 04 set of G A drawings, Cross sectional Drawing of new energy efficient FRP Fan Blade assy 2: 04 set of detailed performance improvement reports after installation as mentioned in Party s Scope. 3: 04 set of O & M Manuals 4: 01 soft copy of above 5: List of recommended O& M spares Special Conditions Of Supply Gail will not allow any major modification (if required) in existing system.the party has to submit the detailed drawings for the FRP fan blade assembly along with the hub offered by the party along with the offer. The quoted prices shall be inclusive of all the taxes, duties, WCT, transportation (to & fro), unpacking at Gail site etc & overheads inclusive of service taxes for installation & commissioning of new energy efficient FRP Fan Blade assy. If the satisfactory performance will not be observed the materials will have to be removed by the party & will be taken back by the party & party has to re-install the existing system back after removal of their system & no payment will be made for the materials supplied by party. Time of replacement of existing fan assembly will be decided by Gail India Ltd, Vijaipur, considering the plant conditions. For any damage to Gail property by the party shall be dealt by Gail as per company rules. GUARANTEE A performance guarantee is to be given for 12 months from the date of commissioning or 18 months from the date of supply which ever is earlier. 10% Bank Guarantee shall be released after successful completion of Defect liability period (i.e. 12 months satisfactory performance new FRP fan blade assembly). PAYMENT

12 Based on monitoring the satisfactory performance for 30 days from the date of commissioning, 100 % Payment will be released by Gail (India) ltd against submission of 10% performance BG for remaining period of warranty / guaranty. Test & Guarantee Certificates required along with dispatch documents. The party shall provide material test certificates for fiberglass & resin. The party shall provide guarantee certificates for any manufacturing defect for 18 months from dt of dispatch or 12 months from the dt of commissioning which ever is earlier.. PRS As per GCC. Delivery Schedule of supply & Commissioning Supply of new energy efficient FRP Fan Blade assy with in weeks after receipt of P.O. as per specification above mentioned. For site work i.e. for removal of existing system & installation of new fan assembly & performance evaluation maximum four (04) days will be given from the date of readiness intimated by GAIL.
