DESCRIPTION OF THE ITEM Quantity Estimated Cost paper / other specifications Binding Delivery schedule Printing of Books Size: A4 size Book with 350 pages each inner pages on 100 gsm paper with perfect binding and cover on 300 gsm with matte lamination. Inner pages consisting of 700 pages (approx) Printed in single colours. Cover/wrapper to be printed in 4 colours. Soft copy / Word File will be provided by Bank. Page layout / Typesetting / design, etc will have to be done at printers end Proof to be approved by Bank before mass/bulk printing. 700 Books ( Vol-1 of 350 books with 350 pages and Vol-2 of 350 books with 350 pages ) Rs lakhs For Inner Pages: Andhra/Ballarpur/TNPL/West coast Map litho Paper- 100 GSM. For Cover: J. K. / Sinarmas Art Card- 300 GSM + Matt Lamination. Centre pinning, for all 700 Books. Within Ten days, after content corrections, final approval of Files by Staff Training College Bannerghatta Road Kalkere Post Bengaluru Samples of the paper quality mentioning the GSM & thickness/bulkiness and Brand duly signed by authorized person and stamped. Please note that paper/ lamination/ quality mentioned above will be inspected by Bank s Officials, before printing at your press. (Need to start after approval of colour/quality from Paper & Printing technologist) EMD Rs.10, & Application fees - Rs to be submitted along with the Technical bid documents. Tender Issue Date: Tender Due Date & Time: up to 3.00 PM. Technical/Commercial Bid Opening date & Time: AT 3.30 PM.

2 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA TENDER NOTICE, SC/PO/109 / The quantities mentioned are approximate and may vary at the time of placing the order. The minimum Annual Turnover of the firm/company should be Rs Lac p.a. i.e , & respectively. There should not be loss for the last 3 financial years. Tenderer should have made continuous profits during the last three years. No other charges shall be payable except for the rate quoted for the quantity mentioned. The Service tax, Service charges and Octroi charges etc., if any will also be borne by the Tenderer. The Bidder should be engaged in Printing Business for last 5 years, and should have a factory within 50 kms from the Staff College Kalkere Post, Bannerghatta Road Bengaluru No modification in the rates will be accepted / entertained except in case of changes made and agreed by the Bank. Conditional and incomplete offers are liable to be rejected. If the contract is awarded, 8.0 % of Tender value as Security Deposit of ` 80, (Eighty Thousand only) is to be deposited immediately in the form of Demand Draft favoring Union Bank of India payable at Bengaluru, which will be retained by the Bank till the satisfactory completion of the work. No Interest will be payable on Security deposit. The Bank will not make any advance payment. However, bills, if otherwise is in order, would be paid promptly on receipt of confirmation from our concerned offices / departments for having received specified Books in good condition. Income Tax/GST etc. will be deducted at source (TDS) from the final bills as required under I.T. Act. Delivery as per schedule. The Tenderer shall be liable for the payment of 1% of tender value per week of delay subject to 5% of tender value as maximum for the delayed period as liquidated damage to the Bank. The day will be reckoned at the end of working hours including part thereof shall be a full day. The Bank shall not be liable to pay any amount and the supplier shall not be entitled to recover from the Bank any amount by way of damages, loss or otherwise for such cancellation of the order but at the same time the Bank shall be entitled to recover

3 the loss which the Bank may incur on account of non-delivery or late delivery or on account of placing orders with other suppliers and recover from the printer / supplier the difference between the price at which it has been agreed to supply and the price at which the Bank is forced to place fresh orders. The Bank reserves the right to forfeit the EMD & Security deposit in case printer fails to execute the order or nonconfirmance to quality & quantity. If the work is not found to be of good quality then the Bank will have the right to make suitable deductions from the payable amount or material delivered will be rejected without paying any price / compensation. The decision of the Bank in this regard will be final. The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs.10, (Rupees Ten thousand only) and non refundable application fee Rs.1, by Demand Draft favouring 'Union Bank of India Staff College payable at Bengaluru is to be submitted along with the Technical Tender document envelope. Quotation submitted without EMD & Application fee will not be entertained. Tender Form will be available on Bank's website ( and NIC portal ( The application can be downloaded or may be collected from Staff College Bengaluru. Sealed envelope of tender document is to be submitted to the Vice Principal /Asst. General Manager, Staff College Bannerghata Road Bengaluru along with form charges of Rs.1,000/- (non refundable) by way of Demand Draft favouring Union Bank of India, payable at Bengaluru along with Technical Tender envelope. THE TENDERERS MUST SUBMIT THEIR OFFER IN SEALED ENVELOPES. The Tender is to be submitted in sealed envelopes and to be addressed and submitted to The Vice Principal/ Asst. General Manager, Staff Training College Bannerghatta Road Kalkere Post Bengaluru The envelope must superscribed as Tender for Printing & Supply of Books. The Bidding will be in two parts - Technical and Price/Commercial. Both the bids must be submitted at the same time in separate sealed covers, and duly subscripted as "Technical Bid for Books packed in one cover and Commercial Bid for Books packed in another sealed cover. These two covers should be packed in another sealed envelope. All the envelopes should indicate name, address and ID of the vendor submitting the bids.

4 Following documents are to be enclosed with Tender s Bio Data format (as per Annexure I) in the envelope super scribed Tender for Printing of Books. CA Certified Audited financial statement of last three financial years alongwith ITR. Account Payee Demand Draft favoring Union Bank of India, payable at Bengaluru' towards the non-refundable Tender application fee and Earnest Money Deposit (EMD). Details of financial quotation should not be included in this envelope. Price / Commercial Bid as per Annexure- II. Complete Quotation in the enclosed format (see ANNEXURE II). The cost quoted should be inclusive of all i.e. GST, Paper, printing, Lamination, Handling charges. Loading and unloading charges Transport / door Delivery charges, etc. Please note that all the documents should be duly signed by authorized persons with date and seal of the printer. Union Bank of India reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Similarly, it reserves the right not to include any vendor in the final short list. Further, tenders received after due date & time will not be considered. We agree to deposit ` 80, as Security Deposit if work is awarded to us. We also agree that the Security deposit amount in addition of ` 10, as Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) will be retained by the Bank till the satisfactory completion of the project and the final settlement of the bills. We also agree that the Bank reserves the right to forfeit the Security deposit (SD) and the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) if we fail to fulfill the Terms of contract.
