2 2014 Fringe Benefits Survey, Perks Copyright 2014, Business & Legal Resources, Inc. 141 Mill Rock Road, East Old Saybrook, CT Staff Robert Brady, Executive Editor Sharon McKnight, Managing Editor Derek Davis, Associate Editor About this survey The 2014 BLR Survey of Fringe Benefits, Perks, is part of a regular series of surveys conducted by Business & Legal Resources, Inc., Brentwood, TN and Old Saybrook, CT. It is published in conjunction with BLR s print and internet services, including HRLaws, What to do about Personnel Problems in [your state], Employee Compensation in [your state], HR.BLR.com, and Compensation.BLR.com. Invitations to participate were sent BLR customers in February of 2014 via , and over 1,400 respondents completed the on- line survey. The results were cross- tabulated by size of organization, industry, region, union/non union status, type of organization, and status of respondent. Questions about the survey can be addressed to Smcknight@blr.com. How to use this survey There are two major parts of the survey report. The first part is an executive summary and a capsule summary of the data. The second part contains the cross tabulated data. Cross tabulation is useful in that it allows users to compare practices in organizations similar to their own. For example, if you are a small employer, a manufacturer, a non- profit, etc., you can look to the appropriate section to determine how you compare to your peers..
