1 Honley Feast Saturday 16 th September 2017 Honley Cricket Club, Far End Lane, Honley, HD9 6NS Exhibitors Application to Trade Before completing this form please read the attached Terms and Conditions carefully. Closing date for applications: General Information Honley Feast dates back to the 1800 s where the local community would come together to celebrate with food and drink. Typical foods were roast beef and pickled red cabbage, currant puddings and home-brewed beer. The event itself featured a circus and later a fair with games. Honley Business Association have organised many events over the last 3 years, all of them being very successful indeed Honley Feast in 2016 had an attendance well over 3000 visitors so 2017 is expected to be even busier. So if you are a food, craft, wellbeing or local business that sees this as a great opportunity for selling and promoting, please get in touch and join us in what we hope will become a yearly event. As we want to keep everything local we are setting a parameter of all crafters should be within a 10 mile radius of Honley. Dates: Saturday 16 th September 2017 Opening times: Saturday: 10am 5pm Exhibitor Information: We are looking for the following categories of exhibitors: Wellbeing Crafts Food Products Local businesses all within a 10 mile radius of Honley All exhibitors are expected to provide their own marquees and tables, with the standard size of a marquee being 3m x 3m. Marquees are to be of good solid construction as well as fire retardant to the current BS standard. If you do not have a marquee, we have some available, at a small charge for the day. You would need to erect and dismantle the marquee yourself and pay a payment of 20; of which 10 would be refunded once the marquee was returned in same condition. Exhibitors are individually responsible for applying for the correct license, Please note no one is allowed to sell alcohol at any time during the event. Exhibitors need to provide a risk assessment which includes the marquee information and a copy of their public liability insurance. The risk assessment must address fire safety and the method of anchoring the marquee down. Prices quoted are for 1 days trading in total. If you need electrics to plug in equipment, you must bring a DIESEL GENERATOR with you. If you would like to increase your frontage to 6m, you should book 2 positions.

2 Other information about the day: Alongside the craft, wellbeing and food and drink stalls, there will also be: Stage entertainment throughout the whole day Big Sing in the afternoon Tug of War, Space Hopper Challenge and more family fun activities Go Kart competition for hand- made Go karts, get those pram wheels sorted 5 a- side football tournament HBA Beer/Wine Tent Children s entertainment Tent Vintage Vehicle Display Payment information Exhibitors will be informed in August 2017 as to whether their application has been successful. When making a booking, please ensure that the Total Amount Due is covered. If paying by cheque, please send your cheques with your booking form. 5 HONLEY FEAST Terms & Conditions: Public Liability Insurance 1.1. Exhibitors are responsible for the insurance of their own property and must have current Public Liability Insurance to the value of 5 million or more at the time of the event All exhibitors must submit photocopies of their insurance cover with this application and have originals with them for inspection at the time of the event The exhibitor or agents shall not hold the organisers Honley Business Association responsible for any loss, damage, theft or destruction of any exhibit, goods, property or equipment. Health and Safety 1.4. Where appropriate, sites may also be inspected by Environmental Health, Trading Standards Officers or any other professional body Electricity: If you need electrics for your stall, you must supply a DIESEL generator If your stall requires any powered appliances, you must supply the relevant safety certificates; you must also provide fire extinguishers and provide barriers around this equipment Exhibitors selling food must provide food hygiene and safety certificates in advance of the event as well as make them available for inspection on the day Exhibitors using liquid gas petroleum cylinders are expected to provide suitable storage facilities. All cylinders must be installed prior to the opening of the event and must not be transported during the event All electrical equipment must be PAT tested with a current sticker/certificate with the equipment. General Pitches are non-transferable. At no time does acceptance of an application bestow any rights or expectation that a pitch will be in a particular position/location. The Event organisers decisions are final with regard to the layout and position of the stalls Exhibitors arriving at the Event who have not prepaid will not be permitted to trade The event is officially open at the following hours: Saturday 16 th September am 6pm Exhibitors are required to stay for the full duration of the event and may only begin packing up after closing time Anyone found selling illegal, counterfeit or inappropriate goods will be removed from site and the relevant authorities informed Smoking is prohibited on site. 5

6 1.16. Any exhibitor who cancels a booked stall after , for whatever reason, shall forfeit all fees paid and HBA shall reserve the right to re-let such pitches. No refunds will be given due to bad weather or ground conditions The organisers, Honley Business Association, reserve the right to cancel this agreement at any time by giving notice in writing to the exhibitor at the address given on the application form. Whenever it is of the opinion that the continuance of the hiring would not be in the interests of the good management of the site or in the event of the Government, the Council or other Public Body requiring the use of the site for any matter of special importance Your exhibition space and immediate surroundings must be kept tidy at all times and all rubbish must be removed at the end of the day - not left outside your exhibition area. You must make arrangements to deal with trade waste responsibly and are not permitted to use the public waste bins No exhibitor shall be allowed to call attention to goods or services, or use any equipment as to cause annoyance or nuisance. Selling of goods by auction is prohibited Exhibitors are to display their name and address in a size and style that can be seen by the public. The price of goods being sold is to be clearly displayed at all times Any cheques that are returned by the bank to Honley Business Association shall incur a charge of 30 administration/bank charge fee. 6
