Once again, the organizing committee for this unique event, reserved exclusively for professionals in this and related industries, aims to attract more than 300 visitors. This great day would not be complete without the colourful gala evening which will start at 7 pm, also at the Sheraton Laval. A space is 100 square feet or 10 by 10 feet. SERVICES INCLUDED The basic rate includes the floor space, a storage space and cleaning of your kiosk, traffic areas and public places. No separator wall is provided. Exhibitors are required to install hard-wall structures and floor coverings inside their spaces. Other complementary services will be available upon request (custom booth, furniture, etc.). More details to come in the exhibitor s manual. IMPORTANT NOTE No solicitation and activities are permitted outside your booth space for the duration of the show. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT 1. A deposit of 20% (non-refundable) is required when signing the contract. If the deposit is not received 30 days after signing, the contract will be cancelled. 2. The balance of the grand total must be paid 90 days before the first day of the show. 3. No reimbursement will be given for a cancellation made less than 90 days before the show. The payment can be made by credit card (Visa and MC) or by check payable to Association des commerçants de piscines du Québec (ACPQ). 6 TERMS, CONDITIONS AND REGULATIONS 1. SUBLEASING SPACE The exhibitor may not, without the prior written consent of management, convey, sublet or transfer his rights in this contract. 2. DIRECTIVES AND REGULATIONS a) Management, under its management powers and its obligations towards the building owner, reserves the right to adopt any regulation or directive it deems necessary or useful in the interest of the show and exhibitors in general. b) The exhibitor agrees to comply by any regulations or directives adopted by the management. c) The exhibitor agrees to abide with the exhibition s business hours and provide, during these hours and for each day of the show, a competent and adequate staff in his booth. d) The exhibitor agrees to comply with the exact dimensions of the space rented. No sign or poster shall exceed the height of the booth (8 feet). e) All electrical wire, outlet installation or other will be at the exhibitor s charge and require the prior consent of the management. f) All delivery costs for goods, materials or properties must be paid in advance. Otherwise, the management shall have no obligation to receive such shipments. g) Distribution of flyers, samples, buttons, etc., must be confined to the rented space. Under no circumstance will distribution be tolerated in the aisles, restaurants, lobby or other public places that have not been rented by the exhibitor. 3. LIABILITY a) The management shall under no circumstance be held responsible for any loss or damage affecting the property of the exhibitor in the rented space, in the aisles or in the entrances. Furthermore, the management shall not be held responsible, except from negligent conduct on its part, for any damage or injury suffered by the exhibitor, his agents, servants or employees. b) The management is not liable for any damage, disturbance or annoyance caused by any other tenant or neighbor adjacent to the exhibitor s rented space. 4. BREACH OF CONTRACT In the event of default by the exhibitor or breach of any of its obligations as set forth in the present agreement, the management may terminate this contract upon a twenty-four-hour written notice. Any deposit or amount paid by the exhibitor to the management will be retained as damages for breach of contract and the management may, from then, use the said space at its discretion. 5. DISTRIBUTION OF SPACE The management reserves the right to refuse any booth or any exhibitor it considers unacceptable and to move any booth or any exhibitor if it is considered necessary in order to maintain the character and proper conduct of the exhibition. 6. EXHIBITOR LIABILITY The exhibitor s property is exposed at his own risk and the management shall not be held responsible for any loss, theft, vandalism, damages, fire or any other cause beyond its control. The exhibitor may not apply any lacquer, adhesive or paint on the floors, walls or columns of the building, nor on the adornments of his own booth or the booth of another exhibitor without the prior written consent from the management. The exhibitor will be responsible for any damage caused and must take out insurance before the exhibition. 7. SETTING UP AND TAKING DOWN THE BOOTHS All booths must be installed, their set-up and decoration completed at least two (2) hours before the opening of the show. The exhibitor must take down and remove his goods, materials and properties of the rented space at, and not before the end of the exhibition. The exhibitor must leave the rented space within the time allotted and in the same condition as before his arrival, otherwise the management will remove remaining goods at the expense and risk of the exhibitor and without incurring liability. In addition, the management could demand that the exhibitor reimburses any additional rent or expenses incurred as a result of the above. 8. EVENT CANCELLATION In the event that the exhibition cannot take place or cannot continue due to fire, strike, riot, labor dispute, accident or any act of God, the present contract will automatically terminate, either entirely or for the period during which the show cannot continue, depending on the case. The exhibitor will be required to pay only for the period during which the said space was used or could have been used by him. Should, for any reason whatsoever, the show was not held as planned, the management will have full and final release of any and all claims for damages regarding the refund of the amounts already paid by the exhibitor. 9. UNION / FIRESAFETY / HEALTH STANDARDS a) The exhibitor must comply with the regulations of the local unions having jurisdiction in the building and with any agreement between the management and all the contractors and concessions operating in the building. The exhibitor must comply with all regulations and directives regarding fire and health, as well as all public regulations. b) The exhibitor shall not take any action that could in any way increase the risk of fire, the fire insurance premium or any other insurance premium, nor shall he violate the arrangements of the fire insurance policy or those of any other insurance policy.
