Aggregated and other derived indicators in the abstract are calculated as a rule on the basis of methodology adopted for the Commonwealth countries and approved by the Council of the Heads of Statistical Services the Commonwealth countries and corresponding to international standards. Calculation of some indicators is based on the estimates of CIS Statcommittee experts. In some cases insignificant discrepancies between the total value and the sum of its components are due to rounding up the data. Certain indicators in value terms are obtained on the basis of average official exchange rates published by national banks. These indicators, as well as totals and averages for the Commonwealth as a whole, are given mainly for general orientation. Population, macroeconomics, finances and money circulation, prices, industry, agriculture, construction, transport, communications, trade and services, external trade, exchange rates, labour market, education, health care, science, culture, crime, environment. The system enables users to produce automatic queries on indicators, countries and time period, to make their own calculations and trend analysis of the economic development countries. 4 CIS Statistical Yearbook CD (printed edition available) ISBN Periodicity: annually in October Format A4 690 pages covers $105 USD The yearbook presents statistical materials characterizing socio-economic situation in the Commonwealth countries for It includes information by countries and in comparison between them on population, employment, gross domestic product, prices, output of basic industrial and agricultural products, consumer market, con- sumption of main foodstuffs, consolidated budgets, development of financial market, money income and expenditure of population, social sphere, external trade, international comparisons. The source of the information contained in the yearbook are official data national statistical services. Aggregated and other derived indicators are calculated, as a rule, on the basis of common methodology approved by the Council of the Heads of Statistical Services of the CIS countries and corresponding to international standards. Brief methodological explanatory notes are given for main statistical indicators. Recalculations of a number of value indicators were done with the usage of average annual official exchange rates published by the CIS national banks. Data for 2007 for some indicators are preliminary and can be revised later. In individual cases negligible discrepancy between total and sum of items is explained by the rounding of the data. Statistical Compendium ISBN Russian-English version Periodicity: every 2 years in October Format A4 532 pages covers $65 USD A compendium of official statistical data on major aspects of economic development submitted by the statistical services countries for These data are compiled in accordance with the concepts, definitions and classifications of the System of National Accounts (SNA) 1993 adopted by the UN Statistical Commission. The SNA 1993 is a system of interrelated indicators and classifications depicting the most important results and aspects of economic process. The data of the SNA are intended for the analysis of the economy at the macro level, preparation of the short- and midterm economic forecasts, making decisions by the government on formulation of socio-economic policies. The compendium includes aggregates compiled both for the economy as a whole and sectors and industries of the economy. The most important aggregates of the SNA presented in the compendium are gross domestic product and its components, gross national income, gross national disposable income, national saving, net lending, net borrowing. In addition the compendium contains data characterizing distribution, redistribution and final use of income as well as transactions with capital and financial instruments for sectors of the economy. 6 National Accounts of Russia Russian Annually in September 2009 covers $55 USD The yearbook is the most complete publication on the System of National Accounts of the Russian Federation. It comprises data on volumes, composition and movements of GDP as well as consolidated accounts, NA integrated table (by sectors) and regional indicators of the SNA. The findings of international comparisons of GDP have been included in the publication. Tabulated background published in the handbook is interpreted with brief methodological explanatory notes. All indicators in the abstract are calculated in accordance with the unified methodology, coordinated for the CIS countries. For analysis of branch differentiation the data on employment, wages and some other indicators in some countries are given in accordance with Classifications of kinds of economic activities based on Statistical Classification of Kinds of Economic Activities of the European Community (NACE, rev,1) beginning from the years of introduction in other countries in accordance with Classification of Branches of National Economy of the former USSR (CBNE) applied before by the CIS countries. Data for some indicators are preliminary and can be adjusted later on. Demographic Yearbook of Russia Russian and English Annually in December $69 USD Data published in the yearbook are related to administrative and territorial breakdown of the country, changes of population size, age and sex composition, its spatial distribution on the territory of the Russian Federation, births, marriages, divorces and migration. Aggregate demographic indicators highlight reproduction of population processes. Standardized coefficients of deaths by causes are also published.
