1 UOBM Visa Infinite Card Welcome Miles Campaign Terms and Conditions United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd ( K) ( UOBM ) is organising a Visa Infinite Card Welcome Miles Campaign ( Campaign ) from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2018 (both dates inclusive), unless otherwise notified ("Campaign Period"). Eligibility 1. Subject to Clause 2, this Campaign is open to new UOBM Visa Infinite principal credit card applicants who are residents of Malaysia and have attained the age of twenty-one (21) years ( Eligible Customer ), who during the Campaign Period, applies for a principal UOBM Visa Infinite or Privilege Banking Visa Platinum Credit Card ( UOBM Visa Infinite Card ). 2. The following persons shall not be eligible for this Campaign: (a) Cardmembers whose account(s) are terminated, suspended or cancelled within the Campaign Period; (b) All UOBM Visa Infinite supplementary credit card applicants; (c) Any accounts held with UOBM that are delinquent or unsatisfactorily conducted as determined by UOBM at its sole and absolute discretion; (d) Persons who are or have become mentally unsound, deceased, adjudicated bankrupt or have legal proceedings of any nature instituted against them. Approval of Applications 3. The successful applicants ( Successful Applicants ) are those who have their UOBM Visa Infinite Card applications successfully approved between 1 January 2018 and 31 December 2018 (both dates inclusive) ( Approval Period ). 4. For the avoidance of doubt, in relation to UOBM Visa Infinite Card applications, "successfully approved" means that the Eligible Customer's UOBM Visa Infinite Card application has been approved by UOBM and a UOBM Visa Infinite Card is being or has been issued to the said Eligible Customer. 5. UOBM reserves the right as it deems fit to approve or reject any UOBM Visa Infinite Card applications, and/or the supporting documents as requested by UOBM. For the avoidance of doubt, UOBM reserves the right as it deems fit to determine if the supporting documents are sufficiently clear for purposes of the approvals. 6. The closing date for the application of the UOBM Visa Infinite Card is on or before 15 December 2018 ( Closing Date ). The physical completed UOBM Visa Infinite Card application form must be submitted, together with clear and legible supporting documents as may be requested by UOBM before the Closing Date. An applicant may check on the card approval status by contacting UOBM Call Centre at (Kuala Lumpur), (Penang), (Johor Bahru), (Kuching) or (Kota Kinabalu). For the avoidance of doubt: (a) If the Eligible Customer s application or supporting documents are dispatched by facsimile, proof of transmission does not mean proof of receipt by UOBM; and Page 1 of 5

2 (b) If the Eligible Customer s application or supporting documents are dispatched by any courier services, UOBM will not be responsible for any mishandling or misdirection of such courier services. The Welcome Miles 7. Subject to these terms and conditions, the Successful Applicants will be entitled to receive 3,000 Enrich Member Welcome Miles ( Welcome Miles ) in the form of 21,000 UNIRinggit Rewards Points subject to the fulfillment of the following criteria ( Qualifying Criteria ): (a) the Successful Applicants activated their UOBM Visa Infinite Card within sixty(60) days from the UOBM Visa Infinite Card approval date; and (b) the Successful Applicants made retail purchases of RM3,000 (Ringgit Malaysia Three Thousand) within sixty(60) days from the UOBM Visa Infinite Card approval date. The retail purchases may be made by both principal and supplementary Cardmembers. However, the Welcome Miles will be credited to the principal Cardmember s UOBM Visa Infinite Card account. 8. The 3,000 Enrich Member Welcome Miles will be awarded at the prevailing airmiles redemption rate as set out in the UNIRinggit Rewards Programme which may be accessed at For the avoidance of doubt, 1,000 Enrich Miles is equivalent to 7,000 UNIRinggit. 9. For the purposes of this Campaign, retail purchase means the purchase of any goods or services (local and international) made with the UOBM Visa Infinite Card and may, at UOBM discretion, include any UOBM Visa Infinite Card transaction as may be determined by UOBM except for the following transactions: (a) Purchases of goods or services at UOB SMART$ Merchants; (b) Balance Transfers; (c) Easi Payment Plans; (d) 0% Interest-Free Instalment Payment Plans; (e) Flexi-Credit Plans; (f) Refunded, disputed, unauthorized or fraudulent retail transactions; (g) Cash withdrawals; (h) Payments to government which consist of: (i) Alimony and child support; (ii) Fines by Court, government, state authorities or local authorities; (iii) Bail or bond payments; (iv)payment of taxes to the government; or (v) Payment to any government departments; (i) Petrol transactions; (j) Transportation transactions; (k) Top-up transactions; (l) Payment of utility bills; (m) Payment to charity bodies; and (n) Payment of annual card membership fees, interest payments, late payment fees, charges for cash withdrawals, goods and services tax and any other form of service or miscellaneous fees using the UOBM Visa Infinite Card. 3 Campaign Fulfillment 10. The Welcome Miles will be credited to the Successful Applicants who have met the Qualifying Criteria according to the schedule set out in Table A below. Table A UOBM Visa Infinite Card Approval Qualifying Criteria to be met by Crediting of UNIRM Date 1 January January March April 2018 By 15 May February February April April 2018 By 15 June March March April May 2018 By 15 July April April May June 2018 By 15 August May May June July 2018 By 15 September June June July August 2018 By 15 October July July August September 2018 By 15 November August August September October 2018 By 15 December September September October November 2018 By 15 January October October November December By 15 February November November December January 2019 By 15 March December December January March 2019 By 15 April 2019 Scenario: Successful Applicant s card approval date is on 15 January To be entitled to the Welcome Miles, the Successful Applicant should meet the Qualifying Criteria as set out in Clause 7(a) and (b). 60 days from card approval date of 15 January 2018 is 16 March So, the Successful Applicant should meet the Qualifying Criteria by 16 March Crediting of UNIRM will be by 15 May Each Successful Applicant will only be entitled to receive a maximum of 3,000 Welcome Miles regardless of the number of the UOBM Visa Infinite Card applied and/or the amount of retail purchases charged to the UOBM Visa Infinite Card. 12. Notwithstanding Clause 7 above, UOBM reserves the right: (a) To forfeit the UNIRinggit in the event where there is a reversal of retail purchase entry or termination of the UOBM Visa Infinite Card prior to the UNIRinggit being awarded to the Successful Applicant or non-compliance or breach of these terms and conditions, the terms and conditions of UOBM Visa Infinite Card or the terms and conditions in UOBM Visa/MasterCard Cardmember Agreement ( Cardmember Agreement ) with prior notice without assigning any reason; or (b) To substitute the UNIRinggit with any product of similar with prior notice. General Terms & Conditions 13. By participating in this Campaign, the Eligible Customers agree to be bound by these terms and conditions including any amendment and/or variation to it, the terms and conditions of UOBM Visa Page 3 of 5

4 Infinite Card and the terms and conditions in the Cardmember Agreement ( Generic T&C ). If there is any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and the Generic T&C in connection with this Campaign, these terms and conditions shall prevail. 14. The records of transactions maintained by UOBM and UOBM s decision on all matters relating to this Campaign shall be final, conclusive and binding on the Eligible Customers. UOBM shall not be obliged to give any reasons or entertain any correspondence with any person on any matter concerning this Campaign. No appeal and/or correspondence from any Eligible Customers or any third party will be entertained. 15. UOBM shall not be responsible for any failure or delay in the transmission of evidence of sales transactions by Visa International Incorporated, MasterCard Worldwide, merchant establishments, postal or telecommunication authorities or any other party which may result in the Eligible Customers failing to be entitled to the UNIRinggit under this Campaign. 16. To the fullest extent permitted by law, UOBM expressly excludes and disclaims any representation, warranty or endorsement, express or implied, written or oral, without limitation to those published in any mass media, marketing or advertising materials, including but not limited to, any warranty of quality, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose in respect of this Campaign. 17. UOBM shall not be liable for any misinterpretation or misrepresentation of facts by any unauthorized third party in respect of this Campaign which is published in any media, marketing or advertising materials and/or the Enrich Member Welcome Miles offered under this Campaign. 18. UOBM shall not be responsible nor shall accept any liability of any nature and however arising or suffered by the Eligible Customers and/or any third party resulting directly or indirectly from this Campaign and/or the Enrich Member Welcome Miles. 19. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any advertising, promotional, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with this Campaign, these terms and conditions shall prevail. 20. UOBM reserves the right to add, delete and/or vary the Campaign s terms and conditions, from time to time, wholly or in part, at its absolute discretion, by providing twenty one (21) days prior notice to the Applicants via posting on UOBM s website, displaying a notice at any of UOBM s branches, a statement insert in the Statement of Account or any other manner as may be determined by UOBM from time to time. 21. UOBM reserves the right at its absolute discretion to cancel, withdraw, suspend, extend or terminate this Campaign prior to the expiry of the Campaign Period, wholly or in part, at any time with prior notice. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, withdrawal, suspension, extension or termination of this Campaign shall not entitle the Eligible Customers to any claim or compensation against UOBM for any and all losses or damages suffered or incurred by the Eligible Customers whether as a direct or indirect result of such cancellation, withdrawal, suspension, extension or termination. 5 22. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia and the Applicants agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. - END- Page 5 of 5
