1 PRODUCT DISCLOSURE SHEET (Read this Product Disclosure Sheet before you decide to take out the Skim Prihatin Pendidikan 1Malaysia-i (SPP1M-i). Be sure to also read the terms in the letter of offer. Seek clarification from your institution if you do not understand any part of this document or the general terms. 1. What is this product about? SKIM PRIHATIN PENDIDIKAN 1 MALAYSIA-i (SPP1M-i) Date: [The date is to be filled in by CSE] SPP1M-i is a Shariah compliant term financing facility that provide an additional financial assistance that acts as a top up fund to eligible student with existing PTPTN or other scholarship/grants/financing/savings in order to have sufficient fund to pursue Bachelors' Degree or a Master's Degree program with the selected IPTA/IPTS. 2. What is the Shariah concept applicable? Commodity Murabahah or Tawarruq refers to an arrangement that involves sale (with disclosed cost and profit) of commodities to the purchaser on a deferred payment basis and subsequent sale of the commodities to a third party to obtain cash. For Commodity Murabahah trading purposes, the Bank shall at all times be your non-exclusive agent to undertake the required Commodity Murabahah transactions related to the Facility. 3. What is Islamic Base Rate (IBR)? Islamic Base Rate (IBR) is in accordance to the new Reference Rate Framework introduced by Bank Negara Malaysia and it replaces the Base Financing Rate (BFR) as the pricing for retail Islamic financing effective 2nd January Under this new framework, banks will use funding costs only as its benchmark to quote their base rate. Maybank Islamic s IBR is computed based on its average cost of funds. The IBR will not only be adjusted when there are changes in monetary policy e.g. Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) but also changes in the funding conditions e.g. movement in Kuala Lumpur Interbank Offered Rate (KLIBOR). 4. Historical benchmark Cost of Fund (COF) in the last 2 years. 5. What do I get from this product? No Item Description (a) Facility Amount Actual tuition fees less PTPTN or other scholarship/grants/financing/savings etc i) Dentistry & Pharmaceutical programmes : Maximum financing amount up to RM150, ii) Other programmes : Maximum financing amount up to RM100, The financing amount can include takaful contribution however, the total financing shall not exceed the maximum limit (i.e.rm150,000 - RM200,000) (b) Selling Price Rate (SPR) Computation rate for SPR at the point of granting the financing: Islamic Base Rate (IBR) % or 10.0% per annum, whichever is higher. SPR is also the ceiling rate. Currently IBR is at 3.00% (c) Effective Profit Rate Description Effective Profit Rates During study period IBR % ( Effective rate 5.85%) After study period IBR % (Effective rate 6.85%)

2 (d) Tenure (a) Up to 20.5 years inclusive:- i. 5 years study period and; ii. up to 6 months grace period and; iii. up to 15 years payment Study period : years and After Study period : years (e) Payment of financing (A) Study Period Customers have the options:- i. Profit Servicing During the study period you shall be required to service the profit of the Facility on the 1st day of every month following the Effective Profit Period until the end of the Grace Period (during study period plus six (6) months). Or ii. Deferred Profit Payment During the study period plus six (6) months Grace Period thereafter, neither profit to be serviced nor monthly installment to be paid. Option for Effective Profit Rate treatment during study period: - (please tick where applicable) i. Profit charged to be serviced OR ii. Deferred profit to be capitalized (B) After Study Period i. Payment to start upon employment or six months upon completion of study, whichever is earlier. ii. Payment via step-up basis, where applicable. 6. What are my obligations? a) Example: Profit Servicing Component Today (IBR = 3.00%) Eff. Rate : 5.85% Rate : 6.85% Rate If profit rate goes up 1% (IBR = 4.00%) Eff. Rate : 6.85% Rate : 7.85% If profit rate goes up 2% (IBR = 5.00%) Eff. 3 The above calculations are based on the following assumptions: Financing Amount: RM 100, Profit Spread: IBR % p.a (during study period plus 6 months grace period) due to IBR % p.a (after study period) Financing Tenure: 20.5 years Financing released progressively to universities for (6-10 times) Important: The monthly instalment and total payment amounts will vary depending on IBR changes. 7. What other charges do I have to pay? Stamp Duties: As per Stamp Act 1949 (Revised 1989) Documents Letter of Offer Charges per document RM10.00 Legal fee (inclusive GST 6%) to be paid direct to solicitor Letter of Guarantee (3 copies) RM30.00 (3 copies) To be advised by solicitor 8. What if I fail to fulfill my obligations? Late Payment Charge (LPC) The Bank has the right to be compensated on late and default payment based on the following mechanism: - i. Overdue Instalment or Scheduled Payment) Late Payment Charges (LPC) of 1% per annum will be imposed on the overdue monthly instalment payment from the first drawdown until its maturity date. ii. Upon Maturity Prevailing daily overnight Islamic Interbank Money Market (IIMM) rate will be charged for failure to pay the total outstanding balance after maturity or upon judgement, whichever earlier. However, the amount of LPC charged to the Customer will not be further compounded to the outstanding Facility Amount. Legal action Legal action may be taken against you under the following circumstances: Accumulation of monthly shortfall amounts (if any) Failure to respond the reminders notices Any legal action initiated against you may affect your credit rating leading to credit being more difficult or expensive to you in the future. Notification will be given to you beforehand for any impending legal action. Default Rate In the event of default (non-payment) on three (3) profit payments pending the commencement of installment or during the monthly installment payment, *the Bank shall be entitled to convert the prescribed rate to IBR % per annum and calculated on daily balance basis or such other rate as the Bank may prescribe from time to time subject always not exceeding to the SPR. Right to set-off The Bank has the right to set-off any credit balance in your account maintained with us against any outstanding balance in this SPP1M account. Legal action will be initiated if you fail to respond to the reminder notices. Legal action against you may affect your credit rating leading to credit being more difficult or expensive to you. 9. What if I fully settle the financing before its maturity? i. The Bank shall grant rebate (Ibra') to the Customer on, but not limited to, the following events: a) The Customer makes early settlement or early redemption, including those arising from prepayments; b) In the event the Effective Profit Rate is lower than the Ceiling Profit Rate / Selling Price Rate. c) In the event the actual disbursed amount is less than the Facility Amount. ii. The rebates shall not be in cash rebates nevertheless the rebate can be in the form of a reduction in the profit element of the instalments of the Facility. The rebate shall only be deemed granted to customer upon receipt of the settlement/redemption sum as determined by the Bank. 4 10. Do I need a guarantor or collateral? Yes minimum two (2) guarantors if: - i. Non-working student or ii. Working student with Debt Service Ratio above 70% 11. What are the criteria set for the guarantors? Minimum two (2) guarantors. It could be parents, immediate family member or others with means to pay the financing An income earner (at least an income of RM2, monthly inclusive fixed allowance and proxy income) Age of guarantor(s) range from 21 years and not exceed 60 years at end of financing period. Guarantor(s) must have no adverse record on financing/loan payment and be in good credit standing. Not a bankrupt Debt Service Ratio(DSR) within bank s standard guidelines. 12. What do I need to do if there are changes to my contact details? It is important for you to inform the Bank of any changes in your contact details to ensure that all correspondences reach you in a timely manner. To update your correspondence details, please visit any Maybank or Maybank Islamic branches convenient to you. 13. Where can I get assistance and redress? If you have difficulty in paying the monthly instalment you should contact us earliest possible to discuss payment alternatives. You may contact us at nearest Maybank Branch. SKIM PRIHATIN PENDIDIKAN 1MALAYSIA-i (SPP1M-i) Tarikh: [Tarikh ini untuk diisi oleh CSE] SPP1M-i merupakan kemudahan pembiayaan berjangka patuh Syariah yang menyediakan bantuan kewangan tambahan kepada pelajar yang layak sebagai dana tambahan kepada pembiayaan PTPTN sedia ada atau lain-lain biasiswa / geran / pembiayaan / simpanan untuk meneruskan Ijazah Sarjana Muda atau Ijazah Sarjana di IPTA / IPTS terpilih. 2. Apakah konsep Shariah yang digunakan? Komoditi Murabahah atau Tawarruq merujuk kepada satu transaksi yang melibatkan penjualan (dengan dinyatakan kos dan keuntungan) komoditi kepada pembeli secara pembayaran bertangguh dan seterusnya penjualan komoditi kepada pihak ketiga untuk mendapatkan wang tunai. Untuk transaksi Komoditi Murabahah di bawah kemudahan pembiayaan ini, pada setiap masa Bank menjadi ejen tidak ekslusif bagi pihak anda, dalam melaksanakan transaksi Komoditi Murabahah. 3. Apakah Kadar Asas Islamik (KAI)? Kadar Asas Islamik (KAI) adalah kadar harga pembiayaan runcit yang berkuatkuasa 2 Januari 2015 menggantikan Kadar Pembiayaan Asas (KPA) selaras dengan Rangka Kerja Kadar Rujukan baru yang diperkenalkan oleh Bank Negara Malaysia. Di bawah rangka kerja baru ini, bank-bank akan hanya menggunakan kos pembiayaan sebagai penanda aras untuk menentukan kadar asas mereka. KAI Maybank Islamic dikira berdasarkan kos purata dana Maybank Islamic. KAI akan diselaraskan apabila terdapat perubahan pada dasar monetari contohnya perubahahan Kadar Dasar Semalaman (KDS) serta sebarang perubahan dalam keadaan pendanaan contohnya perubahan pada Kadar Tawaran Antara Bank Kuala Lumpur (KLIBOR). 4. Sejarah penanda aras Kos Dana (COF) untuk 2 tahun yang lalu 5. Apakah yang dapat saya perolehi dari produk ini? No Perkara Penerangan (a) Jumlah Kemudahan Yuran pengajian sebenar tolak PTPTN atau biasiswa / pembiayaan / simpanan lain. i. Program Pergigian dan Farmasi : Jumlah pembiayaan maksimum sehingga RM150,000 ii. Program-program lain : Jumlah pembiayaan maksimum sehingga RM100,000 Sumbangan Takaful boleh dimasukkan ke dalam pembiayaan, sekiranya had maksimum pembiayaan tidak melebihi (RM150,000 RM200,000) (b) (c) (d) Kadar Harga Jualan (KHJ) Kadar Keuntungan Efektif Tempoh Pembiayaan Pengiraan KHJ pada masa kelulusan pembiayaan ialah Kadar Asas Islamik (KAI) % atau 10.0% setahun, yang mana lebih tinggi. KHJ juga dikira sebagai harga siling. KAI terkini ialah 3.00%. Penerangan Kadar Keuntungan Efektif Semasa tempoh pengajian KAI % (Kadar Efektif 5.85%) Selepas tempoh pengajian KAI % (Kadar Efektif 6.85%) Sehingga 20.5 tahun termasuk:- i) 5 tahun tempoh pengajian dan ii) Sehingga 6 bulan tempoh tangguh dan iii) Sehingga 15 tahun tempoh pembayaran Tempoh Pengajian : tahun Dan Selepas Tempoh Pengajian : tahun

6 (e) Ansuran Pembiayaan (A) Semasa Tempoh Pengajian Pelajar mempunyai pilihan untuk:- i. Caj kadar keuntungan dibayar secara bulanan; Semasa tempoh pembelajaran, pelajar perlu membayar kadar keuntungan ke atas pembiayaan ini pada hari pertama setiap bulan mengikut tempoh pembayaran kadar keuntungan sehingga akhir tempoh pengecualian yang di benarkan (tempoh pembelajaran dan termasuk 6 bulan selepas nya). Atau ii. Keuntungan ditangguhkan; Semasa tempoh pembelajaran dan termasuk enam (6) bulan yang selepas nya, tiada kadar keuntungan dan bayaran bulanan yang perlu di bayar Sila pilih salah satu cara pembayaran untuk Kadar Keuntungan Efektif semasa tempoh pengajian :- (Sila tanda pilihan anda) i. Keuntungan dibayar secara bulanan ATAU ii. Keuntungan ditangguhkan (B) Selepas Tamat Tempoh Pengajian:- i. Pembayaran pembiayaan akan bermula sebaik sahaja mula bekerja atau enam bulan selepas tamat pengajian, yang mana terawal. ii. Pembayaran pembiayaan akan di bayar secara peningkatan pembayaran semula. 6. 7 7. Apakah yuran dan caj yang perlu saya bayar? Duti Setem: seperti tertera di dalam Akta Setem 1949 (pindaan 1989) Dokumen Surat Tawaran Surat Jaminan (3 salinan) Caj untuk setiap dokumen RM10.00 RM30.00 (3 salinan) Yuran guaman (termasuk GST 6%) akan dibayar terus kepada peguamcara Akan dimaklumkan oleh peguamcara 8. Bagaimana sekiranya saya gagal memenuhi tanggungjawab saya? Caj Pembayaran Lewat Pihak Bank mempunyai hak untuk pampasan atas bayaran lewat dan kemungkiran bayaran, berlandaskan mekanisma seperti di bawah: I. Bayaran Tertunggak Sekiranya anda gagal membayar sebarang amaun tertunggak dari tarikh bermulanya kemudahan di keluarkan sehingga tarikh matang, caj pembayaran lewat akan dikenakan sebanyak 1% setahun akan dikenakan ke atas amaun yang tertunggak atau cara lain yang dibenarkan oleh Bank Negara Malaysia. II. Apabila Matang Kadar Pasaran Kewangan Interbank Islam (IIMM) akan dikenakan di atas kegagalan membayar jumlah baki pembiayaan selepas tempoh matang atau sehingga penghakiman, yang mana terdahulu. Caj pembayaran lewat yang dicaj tidak dikompaunkan kepada baki pembiayaan pokok. Tindakan undang-undang Tindakan undang-undang akan diambil sekiranya anda: Pengumpulan amaun defisit bulanan ( jika ada). Gagal untuk membalas notis peringatan. Tindakan undang-undang yang dikenakan ke atas anda akan mengakibatkan anda menghadapi kesukaran atau dikenakan caj yang mahal untuk memohon pembiayaan yang baru. Pemberitahuan akan diberikan kepada anda terlebih dahulu untuk sebarang tindakan undang-undang yang akan dikenakan. Kadar Kemungkiran Jika berlaku kemungkiran (tiada pembayaran) pada bayaran bulanan sebanyak (3) tiga kali sementara menunggu ansuran permulaan atau semasa ansuran bulanan, pihak Bank berhak untuk menukar kadar keuntungan efektif kepada KAI % setahun dan dikira secara baki harian atau kadar lain dari semasa ke semasa tidak melebihi daripada Harga Jualan Bank. Hak untuk menolak baki Pihak Bank mempunyai hak untuk menolak sebarang baki kredit dalam akaun anda yang dikendalikan oleh kami terhadap sebarang baki tertunggak dalam akaun SPP1M ini. Tindakan undang-undang akan dikenakan jika gagal memberi respon kepada notis peringatan. Tindakan undang-undang yang dikenakan terhadap anda akan menjejaskan penilaian kredit yang akan menyukarkan atau membebankan anda 9. Bagaimana sekiranya saya membuat penyelesaian sepenuhnya ke atas pembiayaan ini sebelum tarikh ia matang? i. Pihak Bank akan memberi rebat (Ibra ) kepada pelanggan pada, tetapi tidak terhad kepada, situasi-situasi berikut: a) Pelanggan membuat penyelesaian awal atau penebusan awal, termasuk yang berpunca dari bayaran terdahulu; b) Sekiranya Kadar Keuntungan Efektif lebih rendah dari Kadar Keuntungan Siling / Kadar Harga Jualan; dan c) Sekiranya jumlah dikeluarkan sebenar adalah rendah dari Jumlah Kemudahan. ii. Rebat-rebat berkenaan tidak boleh dianggap sebagai rebat tunai yang perlu dibayar kepada pelanggan, tetapi diterjemahkan sebagai tolakan dari elemen keuntungan bayaran ansuran kemudahan tersebut. Rebat berkenaan hanya akan diberikan selepas penerimaan jumlah penyelesaian/penebusan sebagaimana ditentukan oleh Bank. 8 10. Apakah kriteria-kriteria untuk menjadi penjamin? Minimum Dua (2) orang penjamin. Boleh terdiri daripada ibubapa, ahli keluarga yang terdekat atau orang lain yang boleh untuk membayar pembiayaan. Mempunyai pendapatan(sekurang-kurangnya RM2, sebulan termasuk elaun tetap dan pendapatan proksi. Umur penjamin mestilah berumur diantara 21 dan tidak melebihi 60 tahun pada akhir tempoh pembiayaan Penjamin mestilah mempunyai rekod pembayaran balik pembiayaan yang bagus Bukan seorang yang bankrap Kadar Nisbah Hutang (DSR) berada pada garis panduan standard bank. 11. Apakah yang perlu saya lakukan jika terdapat perubahan pada maklumat untuk menghubungi saya? Adalah penting untuk anda memaklumkan kepada kami mengenai sebarang pertukaran maklumat untuk menghubungi anda bagi memastikan anda menerima semua surat-menyurat tepat pada masanya. Untuk mengemaskini maklumat perhubungan anda, sila hubungi mana-mana cawangan Maybank atau Maybank Islamic yang berdekatan dengan anda. 12. Di mana saya boleh mendapatkan bantuan dan maklumat lanjut?
