3 About the program HOW IT ALL WORKS (EXCERPT FROM A PAST PARTICIPANT S DIARY) On day one, we are plit into bank called Tiger, Lion, Cheetah, Giraffe, Eagle and Bear. I am in Tiger Bank. The coure intructor introduce themelve a Mike Eataway of AFMA and Chri Howlett of ACI Autralia. They will manage the coure and act a both cutomer and central bank under the name Zoo. Next we are introduced to the trading game in which we will be able to trade in real market, on their electronic trading platform. Thoe with the three highet cloing amount will win. Before our fi rt dealing eion begin, Howlett outline the dealing imulation rule and we are hown pecifi cally how the market operate, how participant need to operate, what limit are, quoting procedure and behaviour. Thi information prove invaluable to u. Each team ha a link to voice broker and other bank, via telephone or direct dealing machine and during each eion one team member will act a a voice broker, one a a poition keeper and electronic trader and the third a a chief dealer. Candidate witch throughout the coure to enure each play every role. Although I found thi coure extremely demanding, tiring and frutrating, I alo really enjoyed it and I alo got to meet a variety of people I would otherwie never have met.
