Why doe my account balance eem higher than it did on my previou tatement even though I don t think my balance ha increaed? If you have an outtanding loan in your 401(k) plan, the loan balance i now included in the Total Current Value. Previouly, the loan balance wa excluded from the Total Value. Thi wa changed to provide a more conitent experience with Benefit OnLine. How i the Rate of Return calculated? Your cumulative rate of return i calculated uing a timeweighted method known a the modified Dietz formula, which i widely accepted in the financial indutry. Thi method take into account the timing of addition (or ubtraction) to your account. The modified Dietz Formula = (Cloing Balance - Opening Balance - Cah Flow*) divided by (Opening Balance + Weighted Cah Flow). Other rate of return calculation may yield different reult. Where did the Table of Content go? The table of content ha been removed. However, page name can be found in the footer on each page. Where can I find 12-month, 3-year, and 5-year Rate of Return? Rate of Return for the Period can till be found on the Highlight page. The 12-month, 3-year and 5-year rate of return can now be found on the 401(k) and/or NQ detail page.
