1 GIPA Cntract Register The GIPA Act requires Landcm t recrd and publish certain infrmatin abut sme cntracts with private sectr bdies. Part 3, Divisin 5 f the GIPA Act states that infrmatin abut cntracts wrth mre than $150,000 between agencies and private sectr bdies must be recrded in a register f gvernment cntracts. Cntracts that must be included in the gvernment cntracts register are thse: between Landcm and a private sectr cntractr signed after the cmmencement f the GIPA Act fr a value f $150,000 r mre, and invlve: the cntractr undertaking a specific prject such as cnstructin, infrastructure r prperty develpment the cntractr agreeing t prvide specific gds r services the transfer r lease f real prperty. Class 1 Cntracts are thse that have, r are likely t have, a value f $150,000 r mre. s are class 1 cntracts where: there has nt been a public tender prcess and the terms and cnditins f the cntract have been negtiated directly with the cntractr, r the cntract was the subject f a tender (whether public r nt) but the terms and cnditins have been substantially negtiated with the cntractr the bligatins f ne r mre parties t maintain r perate infrastructure r assets culd cntinue fr 10 years r mre, and the cntract invlves a privately financed prject (as defined by Treasury) r the exchange f significant assets. If a class 2 cntract has a value, r likely value f mre than $5 millin, it becmes a Class 3 Cntract.
