2 PREFACE BMX Australia receives a number f enquiries every year frm internatinal caches and riders frm verseas wishing t cme t Australia t share their knwledge and experience. BMXA prfessinal indemnity insurance requires a persn t be a BMXA member and accredited under the Natinal Cach Accreditatin Scheme. Withut this the persn cnducting the caching activities, and even the hst club, may be fund t be held liable in the event f an accident. Objective BMX Australia wish t fster psitive, supprtive relatinships and encurage the exchange f skills and knwledge. This plicy utlines the requirements and ptins fr peple utside f Australia wishing t cnduct apprved caching activities within this cuntry and cvers bth thse wh are recgnised as accredited BMX caches in anther cuntry, and internatinal Elite Pr athletes wishing t cnduct caching clinics whilst visiting Australia. Plicy Prcedure Fr caches wh hld a current & valid internatinal caching accreditatin: Internatinally accredited BMX caches are able apply t BMX Australia fr a Credit Articulatin t enable them t be assessed t receive an Australian NCAS caching accreditatin (t the equivalent level) which will allw them t cnduct sanctined caching activities in Australia within the validity perid f their NCAS caching licence. It is the respnsibility f the hst club r state t ensure the cach/es are apprpriately accredited as BMX caching activities need t be sanctined (apprved by the club r state depending n wh is hsting the activity) and participants must be BMXA members (unless under a cme and try day) fr insurance t apply, unless the cach has their wn public liability insurance. It is als the hst club s respnsibility t ensure the internatinal cach hlds the crrect type f visa and apprpriate level f persnal travel insurance. A representative f the rganising party r the internatinal cach will need t cntact the BMX Australia ffice (caching@bmxaustralia.cm.au) and ldge the frm attached at the end f this dcument (Attachment A Ntificatin f Intent t Cach & Applicatin fr Credit Articulatin). There is a nminal applicatin and prcessing fee (t cver resurces, administratin and assessment f the applicatin and supprting dcumentatin) that will be required t be paid at the time f ldgement. The applicant will need t prvide the fllwing dcumentatin t supprt their applicatin: Cpy f current caching accreditatin dcumentatin and written verificatin f their current caching activities and level. Cpy f current first aid certificate r equivalent.

3 If wrking with under 18 s, a cpy f backgrund check relevant t cuntry f residence (i.e. Wrking with Children Check r Plice Check). If the Credit Articulatin is apprved, the applicant will als be required t: Becme a member f BMXA (this can be dne nline r thrugh their hst club). Please nte, the level f accreditatin apprved under the Credit Articulatin prcess will determine whether a Vlunteer (Beginner BMX Cach) r Vlunteer (L1/L2 BMX Cach) is required. If the applicant intends t race whilst here they will need t apply separately fr a rider licence (refer t the BMXA Internatinal Rider Plicy). Prvide a signed cpy f the BMXA Caches Cde f Cnduct (Attachment B). Cmplete the nline ASADA anti-dping educatin mdule (apprx. 70mins). The successful applicant will be prvided with a BMXA caching accreditatin licence equivalent t their assessed level via Credit Articulatin (similar t recgnised prir learning) which will enable them t return t cach anytime within the licence validatin perid. When caching in Australia the Cach will be required t cach with the remit f their BMXA accreditatin, uphld the rider/cach rati (1 cach per 12 riders). This plicy prcedure nly applies t applicants wh hld a CURRENT caching qualificatin in their cuntry f residence. BMXA insurance cnsiders the qualificatins f the persn instructing the rider at the time f an accident, therefre Internatinal riders r verseas visitrs wh d nt hld a caching qualificatin are unable t cnduct direct caching activities within Australia. Fr Elite Pr Internatinal Athletes wh want t cach in Australia The abve plicy prcedure nly applies t individuals wh hld a valid BMX caching qualificatin in anther cuntry, hwever if an Elite Pr Athlete frm verseas expresses an interest in btaining an Australian caching accreditatin t enable them t cach whilst in the cuntry, they will need t cntact the BMXA Office (caching@bmxaustralia.cm.au) and enquire abut the recgnised current cmpetency prcess that takes int accunt the skills and knwledge f experienced elite BMX athletes.
