18 SPEAKER BIOGRAPHIES Sho Bahng Assistant Vice President Raymond James Insurance Group Sho Bahng is Assistant Vice President of Raymond James Insurance Group, the insurance and annuity affiliate of Raymond James Financial. She is responsible for managing insurance new business operations and insurance licensing for over 5,800 financial advisors affiliated with Raymond James & Associates, Inc., and Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. Prior to joining Raymond James, she managed a local regional MetLife Insurance office. Ms. Bahng is a graduate of the University of South Florida and joined Raymond James Financial in Suzanne Brazeal Vice President, Business Automation Strategies VERTEX, Inc. Suzanne Brazeal is a Vice President with VERTEX, Inc., a professional services organization in New Britain, Conn., dedicated to providing business and technology consulting services to their life and annuity insurance partners. With more than 15 years of life and annuity industry experience working directly with insurance carriers, distributors, and the technology vendors who support them, Ms. Brazeal has developed a broad knowledge and understanding of operational challenges and how business automation and e-commerce communication strategies can solve for the challenges. Ms. Brazeal positions her clients to adopt IRI's Straight-Through Processing, and her role at VERTEX enables her to raise awareness of the importance of IRI's data standards within this technologically advanced environment. She and her team support more than 40 clients utilizing ACORD/IRI transactions within their environment. Ms. Brazeal holds chair positions in ACORD's working groups and actively participates in IRI's and DTCC's working groups. Before joining VERTEX in 2002, Ms. Brazeal was an Account Manager at Computer Sciences Corporation. D. Michael Bridges President PaperClip, Inc. Since 1997, Mike Bridges has served as the President of PaperClip Inc. In this role, his responsibilities cover strategic direction, operations, and corporate communications. Prior to joining PaperClip, he was the Executive Vice President and Co-Founder of CMF Design System, a custom software and systems integration firm. Mr. Bridges is a graduate of Rowan University and served 10 years in the United States Marine Corps. 16 IRI Operations & Technology Conference 2013

19 Michael Carrel Vice President, Integrated Application Services Nationwide Financial Michael Carrel is currently Vice President with Nationwide in Columbus, Ohio, where he serves as the Information Technology Leader for Integrated Application Services within Nationwide Financial. In this role, Mr. Carrel is responsible for all data warehousing and data services, financial systems (valuation, trading, and tax), statement/correspondence processing, compliance systems, Internet facing solutions for customers and advisors, contact center systems, and sales technology. He has worked at Nationwide for more than 18 years in a variety of areas, including Disaster Recovery Systems, Corporate Financial Systems, Nationwide Financial Retirement Solutions, Property & Casualty Agency Solutions, Property & Casualty Claims Solutions, Office of the Enterprise CIO, and Corporate Internet Solutions. Mr. Carrel is a graduate of Bowling Green State University (BS in Computer Science) and the University of Dayton (MBA). He carries a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and serves on the Senior Advisory Board of the DTCC and on the IRI Operations & Technology Senior Steering Committee. Mr. Carrel is also a member of the Who's Who in Information Technology. He lives in Galena, Ohio, with his wife, Tiffany, and three children, Megan, Joshua, and Ethan. SPEAKER BIOGRAPHIES Jennifer Cogdell Channel Lead, Relationship Management, Individual Annuity Operations Lincoln Financial Group Jennifer Cogdell joined Lincoln Financial Group in 1994 and has performed various roles within the annuity company as well as the broker-dealer Lincoln Financial Advisors. During her time at Lincoln, Ms. Cogdell has enjoyed opportunities in project management, operations management, and most recently relationship management. As a Relationship Management Channel Lead, Ms. Cogdell has direct oversight of the Wire, Regional, Bank and MGA Relationships. Prior to joining IRI in March 2009, Mr. Covington was the co-leader of the National Insurance Practice at an AmLaw 100 global law firm, Squire Sanders & Dempsey.
