Outside wood heating units which use the existing duct work, cannot be written without prior company approval. Ducting through a window or sidewall of the structure will be acceptable providing the installation is safe. Final determination will be made upon inspection. RISKS YOU CANNOT BIND 1. Any wood heat in a pre-1976 mobile home. (If wood heat in house type addition, we will accept.) 2. A mobile home to be used for other than a dwelling. 3. Do not bind travel trailers. UNDERWRITER APPROVAL REQUIRED ON THE FOLLOWING 1. Applicant that has plead guilty or been convicted of a felony. 2. 3 CLAIM UNDERWRITING The following are guidelines concerning claims history and acceptability. Each applicant and claim scenario is different, so the underwriter will review the entire account and the type of claim or claims to evaluate acceptability. These guidelines distinguish between a singular residential risk and others, such as multiple rentals or large farm risks, which could warrant other consideration. NO-PAY CLAIMS: Generally no-pay claims are treated as a paid claim. SINGULAR RISK: 2 claims in 3 years or 3 claims in 5 years would disqualify a risk. MULTIPLE RENTALS/COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS: In the last 3 years an account should have no more than 1 claim for every 4 rentals, and in the last 5 years no more than 1 claim for every 3 rentals. For example, if an account has 20 rentals, total amount of claims in the last 3 years should be no more than 5, and in the last 5 years should be no more than 7 (rounding up in this case). If there are more than 2 fire claims in the last 5 years, regardless of the number of properties, the risk will be declined. BMIC (01-17) 3 MOBILE HOME
