Union Bank of India invites sealed tenders in two-bid system from eligible commercial printers to print & deliver Cartoon Booklet to Printing & Stationery, Central office, Mumbai. The detailed information, eligibility norms and tender document shall also be available during the period from to at the Bank s website and CPP portal Last date of submission of tender is upto 3.00 pm. The Bank reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders received without assigning any reason whatsoever. Tender Issue Date: Tender Due Date & Time: , 3.00 pm. NO. : 1 DESCRIPTION OF THE ITEM : Printing of Cartoon Booklet Consisting of 12 pages (6 lvs.) with self cover. Trimmed Size: 10.2 mm X 15.2 mm, (6.00 x 4.00 ) - (Height X Width). Bi-lingual- Hindi / English. To be printed in Multi-colour throughout all 12 pages. Necessary contents in pdf and jpg file will be provided by the Bank. Final Design by the printer. Final approval by Official Language division, 11 th Floor, Central office, Mumbai, Nariman point, Mumbai Booklet to be center stitched with two wire pins. The cost quoted should be inclusive of cost of Paper, Printing, Pinning, Packing, Carton boxes, Loading and unloading, door delivery charges. The all India despatch will be done by Bank. QUANTITY : 3,00,000 Booklets. UNIT : i) Per Booklet ii) + 4 pages rate (+2 lvs) PAPER / OTHER SPECIFICATIONS : Self cover booklet of 12 pages: Indian Art or foreign art paper of A grade mills, White 80 GSM. 2 Reay Road, Mumbai DELIVERY SCHEDULE : Full quantity within 7 days from the date of approval of proof. CHARGES : No separate charges like Handling, loading & unloading, door delivery charges will be paid by bank. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA TENDER NOTICE, SSD/PTG/CB/01/ , DATED 19/01/ The quantities mentioned are approximate and may vary at the time of or after placing the order. 2. Mumbai Commercial printers & empanelled printers with Balance sheet with Profit for the last 3 financial years can apply. They should fulfill all eligibility criteria for selection. 3. The minimum Annual Turnover of the firm/company should be ` Lakh p.a. i.e , & respectively. There should not be loss for the last 3 financial years. 4. Tenderer should have made continuous profits during the last 3 years. The Printer should have executed commercial jobs to Public Sector Units/Banks/ Large Corporate/Private organization for the last 3 years. 5. No other charges shall be payable except for the rate quoted for the quantity mentioned. All kind of charges till delivery if any will also be borne by the Tenderer. 6. No modification in the rates will be accepted / entertained except in case of changes made and agreed by the Bank. 7. Conditional and incomplete offers are liable to be rejected. 8. If the contract is awarded then the Security Deposit of ` 30, is to be deposited immediately in the form of Pay Order or Demand Draft favoring Printing & Stationery, Union Bank of India payable at Mumbai or by Bank guarantee, which will be retained by the Bank till the satisfactory completion of the work. 9. The Bank will not make any advance payment. However, bills, if otherwise is in order, would be paid promptly on receipt of original bills with seal, stamp and sign. 10. Delivery as per schedule mentioned in RFP document. The Tenderer shall be liable for the payment of 1% of tender value per week of delay. The penalty beyond 3 weeks is subject to maximum of 5% of tender value for the delayed period as liquidated damage to the Bank. From the final proof approval date despatch to be finished within 7 days time. The day will be reckoned at the end of working hours including part thereof shall be a full day. 11. Any delay beyond 7 days after approval of final proof + every week with 1 % penalty as delay in delivery schedule or failure to supply requisite number of booklets of agreed quality and specifications would entitle the Bank to cancel the order or maximum of 5 % liquidated damage will be recovered from bill. 12. In such an event, the Bank shall not be liable to pay any amount and the L-1 vendor/supplier shall not be entitled to recover from the Bank any amount by way of damages, loss or otherwise for such cancellation of the order but at the same time the Bank shall be entitled to recover

3 the loss which the Bank may incur on account of non-delivery or late delivery or on account of placing orders with other suppliers and recover from the printer, the difference between the price at which it has been agreed to supply and the price at which the Bank is forced to place fresh orders with other vendors (same job). In addition to the above, The Bank reserves the right to forfeit the EMD & Security deposit in case printer fails to execute the order or nonconformance to quality & quantity. 13. If the work is not found to be of good quality then the Bank will have the right to make suitable deductions from the payable amount or material delivered will be rejected without paying any price / compensation. The decision of the Bank in this regard will be final. 14. The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ` 5,000 (Rupees Five thousand only) and application fee ` 1,000 by Demand Draft or Pay Order favouring Printing & Stationery- Union Bank of India' payable at Mumbai shall be submitted along with the Technical tender envelope. Quotation submitted without EMD & Application fee will be liable to be rejected. NSIC/MSME certified units will be exempted from Application fee & EMD if they produce the photocopy of certificate alongwith Technical tender document. The monetary limit to be mentioned on the certificate and certificate to be valid as on opening the tender. 15. Tender Form will be available on Bank's website ( and CPPC portal ( The application can be downloaded or may be collected from 7 th floor, SSD, Central office, Nariman point. Sealed envelope of tender document is to be submitted to the Asst. General Manager, Support services department, 7 th floor, Nariman point, Mumbai along with form charges of ` 1,000/- (non-refundable) by the way of Pay Order/Demand Draft favouring Union Bank of India, payable at Mumbai along with Technical Tender envelope. 16. THE TENDERERS MUST SUBMIT THEIR OFFER IN SEALED ENVELOPES ALONG WITH REQUIRED DOCUMENTS. 17. The Tender is to be submitted in two different sealed envelopes i.e. Technical & commercial/price bid and to be addressed and submitted to Asst. General Manager, Support services department, 7 th floor, Nariman point, Mumbai The envelope must superscribed as Tender for Printing of Cartoon Booklets Following documents are to be enclosed with Tender s Bio Data format (as per Annexure I). CA Certified Audited financial statement of last three financial years alongwith ITR. Account Payee Demand Draft favoring Union Bank of India- Printing & Stationery, payable at Mumbai towards the non-refundable Tender application fee and Earnest Money Deposit (EMD). Details of financial quotation should not be included in this envelope. Price Bid as per Annexure- II (No Reverse/E- auction). Complete Quotation in the enclosed format (see ANNEXURE I, II & III). The cost quoted should be inclusive of cost of Paper, printing, Pinning, cutting, Carton boxes cost, packing, Loading and unloading charges, dispatch & delivery charges to P & S, Reay Road, Mumbai 10.

Union Bank of India reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Similarly, it reserves the right not to include any vendor in the final short list. We also agree that the Bank reserves the right to forfeit the Security deposit (SD) and the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) if we fail to fulfill the Terms of contract.
